The Bleeding Heart Tetra (Hyphessobrycon erythrostigma) is a striking freshwater fish native to the slow-moving rivers and tributaries of the Amazon Basin. Named for the distinctive red spot resembling a heart on its silvery-pink body, this peaceful species thrives in well-planted aquariums with soft, slightly acidic water. Growing up to 3 inches in length, Bleeding Heart Tetras are social fish that do best in schools, displaying vibrant colors and lively behavior when kept in groups. Their graceful swimming and occasional playful sparring make them a favorite among aquarists seeking a visually appealing and active community fish.

The GLO Angelfish is a genetically modified freshwater angelfish designed to display fluorescent colors. This coloration, which is currently limited to the Starfire Red variety, is achieved by incorporating genes from marine organisms (such as jellyfish and coral) which produce bioluminescent proteins causing them to glow under certain lighting conditions. The Hogchoker (Trinectes maculatus) is a small flatfish commonly found in the estuarine and coastal waters of the eastern United States. This fish is named for its tough, leathery skin, which was said to choke hogs that tried to eat it. Hogchokers are typically brown with dark spots and have a rounded body with both eyes on one side, an adaptation for life on the seabed. They are bottom-dwellers, feeding on small invertebrates and detritus, and are notable for their ability to survive in both fresh and brackish water.
