Randy, just like most of us, loves Chicken. In the United States we consume an astounding 93.5lbs of chicken per capita each year and also a whopping 277.5 eggs per capita each year.
Currently, Chicken in the store ranges from about $1.99-$4.79/lb and eggs are $3.40 per dozen. With our poultry and egg consumption being so high many families have begun to raise their own backyard poultry. This concept has many benefits both for parents and children. The responsibilities that come with tending to the flock are a great life lesson for children to learn at any age, and also typically provides a substantial monetary savings compared to store bought chicken.
If anyone currently is, or looking into, starting your own back yard flock, we have created a line of chicken feeds formulated and produced in house for both layers and meat birds.
The feeds listed below are fully fortified to enhance your backyard flock's success.
24% all flock ($16.00/50 ) for maximum meat bird production
20% all flock ($15.00/50 ) which may be used as a meat bird finisher or pullet (female hen before they start laying) starter/grower.
18% R-layer mash ($12.50/50 )
16% R-layer pellet ($11.75/50 )
Both are designed to provide full nutrition and maximize egg production.
Scratch Grain ($12.50/50 ) Premium 6 grain scratch for supplementing your farm flock in a free-range setting.
Shell & Bone builder ($8.00/50 ) 38% calcium (equivalent to oyster shells) product to enhance eggshell quality with substantial savings.
