Thank you to the West Village Association for putting on this block party for the 2nd year in a row! I had some really great conversations and met so many people interested in joining our scrap collection service.
Short story: The demo today was about feeding the worms. I gave one of the kids a small carrot to feed them as his mom held one of the worms. Instead of putting the carrot in the compost, he put it right next to the worm in her hand. 😂 it was a knee slapper. That picture is towards the end of this reel.

Renaissance High School is looking to partner with us on compost education. They built this amazing hoop house in fundraised for the materials!
These seniors are fired up about composting and green infrastructure. We're so excited to bring our partners in to help us educate about the best way this school can process some of its own food waste.
