We’re looking for our next super star candidate to join our team!

We’re hiring a Full-Time Kennel Assistant to work weekday & some sporadic weekend shifts.

We’re looking for someone with flexible availability that is interested in working ~40 hours per week. Job responsibilities are 80% heavy cleaning and 20% care of dogs. The job is VERY physical so you must be able to work long hours on your feet, lift heavy objects, manage strong dogs that pull & jump and must be able to perform heavy cleaning duties.

THE HOURS YOU’LL WORK:

💫 Monday-Friday between the hours of 6am - 1pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be responsible for heavy cleaning (kennels, crates, vacuuming and mopping floors, other general cleaning, etc).

You will also be responsible for the care of dogs (feeding, pottying them, bathing, administering medicine, etc).

PREREQUISITES:

You must be willing and able to work with dogs of all temperaments and sizes. The position is very physical so you must be physically capable of performing the cleaning & handling responsibilities – you’re on your feet all day. You need be willing to work independently and must be reliable.

Candidate must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and have a strong work-ethic. We are looking for candidates that have a go-with-the flow attitude (the dog world is often unpredictable), who will work hard, be reliable and who can work well with others. Prior kennel experience is a plus!

**WE DO WORK HOLIDAYS**

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY:

When we’re hiring future Administrative Assistants or Motor City K9 Trainers, we look at our existing team first. While there are no guarantees that you’ll become a trainer, we always evaluate our current kennel staff and look for opportunity to promote from within.
