Our very first 🥇 CSA member from the beginning stopped by to tour the farm today! She was beyond proud, but most importantly, she was eager to go home and share the bounty as well as cook for family! 👩🏽‍🌾 Thank you!!!

I sent out a call for help, and they show up (immediately, no excuses) ready! 💪🏽 Teamwork makes the Dream work! Ground Cherries!!! These yummy treats deserved a post of their own…What’s your first memory of eating a ground cherry? I was a young adult, exploring Mama Judy’s garden oasis on the Eastside of Detroit She had the biggest cherry plant I have still ever seen—there were so many husks laying in the pot—waiting to be picked up! She said she couldn’t eat them fast enough! It’s taken us years to grow enough to share…in the past few days I’ve seen so many people delight in the simple pleasures and fond memories of a ground cherry. I’ve seen bags go home with the community and simple syrups being made—I’ve seen so much love and sharing! Today, I walked over and only a few ground cherry husks were under laying around— We’re growing and eating them fast enough! Onward, delight in the simple pleasures!

We’ve been quietly 🤫 building up our stock of Golden Raspberry for a few years! I am beyond excited to harvest these beauties…and even more proud to spread healthy rootstock ALL over the farm this year! (The berries won’t be ready until to harvest until next year, sorry no orders) 👩🏽‍🌾 SN: Dirty hands 🙌 are a sign of hard work, passion, and commitment to our land unless you just walking around with dirty hands! 😬 #2025

Anthophile: a person that LOVES flowers. 💐 A friend introduced me to this word a few months back and I thought about the different organisms we pass and traits we carry. There is a spirit of freedom, that longs to play in a field of flowers. Smell, taste, and touch the petals of sweet floral joy. Let us reflect, transform, heal ❤️ ALL people through Love with flowers!

The NeighborHUB Grant Program is a collaborative effort between General Motors and the Detroit Regional Chamber designed to empower residents to affect change in their neighborhoods by providing funding to nonprofits and small businesses working in communities throughout Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck. Monday evening a women’s only book talk was held by for the release of For the Culture: Phenomenal Black Women and Femmes in Food. Author Klancy Miller and Writer, Food critic, Lyndsay Green took us on a journey! You know who also took us on a journey… the Chefs!!! Chef Ederique Goudia and Chef Le’Gen Squires to took us on a culinary journey fit for Queens 👸🏽 (zoom in on the menu)! My absolute fav was the JOLLOF grits! Of course, there’s a biased for the salad! Youth from the helped with dinner service for the evening. I didn’t sit next to her, but it’s always great pleasure to be in good company with ED/ Chef Kiki!!!! I did sit across from the very talented, humble Chef Amber who I actually admire for her quiet yet strong presence! I was honored to be invited to this event…BUT it always hits different when the food that everyone is eating/nourishing 🍽️ came from your farm, and Magnetic and the team grew ALL the salad, shoots, sprouts 🌱, and flowers to keep producing into November. We left chanting that we would return to continue build and continue the conversations and signed copies of their books! Most importantly, page 1 of our book 📕 is coming, and this is our permission to for the season!
