We have a total on replacing 1/4 of the items we lost in barn fire..
This would give everyone their own halters again and feed buckets. It would give us 2 full sets of grooming supplies for the herd. They use to all have their own and didn't share but we are not worried about that at this time.

It is time to get everything cleaned up & move forward to rebuild & replace our most needed items. We need to start somewhere.

Our Insurance is refusing to to cover the barn fire. We are fighting with them currently & will most likely have to end up in court with them. The fire Marshall ruled the fire to be a spontaneous combustion of the fresh hay we had stored in the barn. However the insurance doesn't want to pay out our over $30,000 just barn, feed, hay, and medicine cost & our over $20,000 tack, blankets, & equipment loss. Total with everything listed we lost we are at a $50,000 loss. We are merely trying to raise up a very small portion of that to be able to replace the most needed things for our rescues. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since our barn Southern Magnolia Grace Ranch caught fire & our lives forever changed with the complete loss of our barn, all its contents & a number of animals in our herd due to the fire.

We have posted a few raffles to try and raise some funds to start rebuilding and replacing items.

Summer Camp this year will not be horse camp sadly... With the Barn fire and the loss of everything in it we will not be able to do horse camp.

However we are going to do a Farm Camp.

We will be covering all of our basic farm animals & what purpose they serve on the farm.
We will be teaching basic skills in gardening, animal health, animal care, milking, canning, outdoor skills, & lot of hands on experience.

We will possibly even have baby piglets born during camp.

We also will have a craft & wood building activities for everyone to complete.

If by some miracle we are able to replace the items needed to do Horse Camp by then we will include beginner riding lessons and possibly advanced lessons.

It will be from 9am -1pm every day for the dates of your choosing from list below

Today marks 2 weeks since our barn caught fire & our lives forever changed with the complete loss of our barn, all its contents & a number of animals in our herd due to the fire.

We hold summer camp every year in the months of June & July. As it sits right now we will have to cancel those camps unless something amazing happens to help us be able to have everything needed for the animals & replace much needed tack & grooming items.

The remains of our barn after the fire on Tues May 16th.. a complete and total loss of feed hay equipment, saddles, tack, medical supplies etc.

We are a “ rustic” equestrian barn. We have porta potties, and shower house. Currently sleeping means pitch a tent. Bunk houses are currently in the works.

But we do learn. We do love our horses & all the other animals here. We do build as a TEAM!

We show, we jump, we obstacle course it, we pride ourselves in horsemanship.

We love winning belt buckles, ribbons & trophies

We do both English & Western.

The way we maintain free lessons is having community help.

We are donation based & are very close to having our non profit status.

We started with a need to find an alternative therapy for our kids & companions to help our rescue horses & animals on their road to recovery.

We wanted a therapy that wasn’t like therapy at all, something fun that our kids wouldn’t argue about doing & would actually show up to.

We have an arena, a round pen, miles of trails. Soon the opportunity to host our own shows.

We look forward to what’s next but we never forget what brought us here to begin with. We started
With a dream & need & with everyone support we continue to further that dream & support a further need for not just the children in our community but the adults also.

I never thought I’d write this post.. and it has taken me time to be able to .. As some may know Southern Magnolia Grace Ranch suffered a barn fire Tuesday the 16th. We sadly did lose part of our herd.

It was a total loss so all summer camps are cancelled currently. We will reachedule them once we figure out everything. We are trying to find some tack and raise money to replace equipment, medical supplies , feed and hay.

Everything can be replaced over time.
Thank you to the neighbors & Hancock County Fire Department for making sure it didn’t spread.
