We raise Tennessee Walking Horses and Icelandic Horses

We are home to Dunn Cashed In, a devilishly handsome red dun TWHBEA registered stallion. Cash is one of a small number of Tennessee Walking Horses that carries the dun gene, a coat color modifying gene, which gives you grulla/grullo, red dun, and classic dun(sometimes mistaken as buckskin with counter shading). He has been DNA tested and passes dun on about 50% of his offspring.

Big Sky Apple, Tennessee Walking Horse registered TWHBEA, Apple was born 6/15/2018 She is smart, sweet, and sassy. She is homozygous Dominant Extension(EE) and carries Splash White(SW1). She was lightly started under saddle a couple years ago and has started her saddle training again March 2024 and is doing great so far. She is on the smaller side at 14 hands. Perla from Extreme Farms, Icelandic Horse, Perla is an Icelandic horse mare born in 2006. She stands about 13 hands. She has a lovely natural slow tolt and is a great trail horse. She has been ridden on trails all over Michigan and on the Lake Michigan Shoreline. She may not look it, but she is genetically a black silver dapple tobiano with a grey gene(EE, aa, Gg, Zz, To/n, nd2/nd2, DMRT3/DMRT3). She requires an experienced rider who is soft with their hands. Brynja from Northstar, Icelandic Horse, Brynja was born 7/26/2005 Brynja is a black tobiano splash white Icelandic horse mare. She stands about 53 inches or 135cm. She is a lovely horse with an amazing sweet personality and she takes care of the kids on trail rides when she was in riding shape. She has had a few years off from riding raising foals. She is a wonderful mother who has produced some nice foals with size. She has not been trained to tolt, and carries 1 copy of the gait gene(DMRT3/n). Name Pending, Tennessee Walking Horse registered TWHBEA, DOB 7/27/2023 This is filly is super flashy and is showing a really nice gait. She will make someone a really nice smooth riding horse someday. Her sire is 16 hands, I expect her to mature between 15-16 hands, she is currently about 13HH(2/10/2024). Flekka from Chippewa Acres, Icelandic Horse, Flekka(spot) is an almost solid white black splash tobiano Icelandic horse filly born 7/16/2023. She is already very curious of her surroundings and people. Her sire is Seifur frá Háleggsstöðum and her dam is Brynja from Northstar. She carries at least one copy of splash white and tobiano. Eldfari von Kjölavík, Icelandic Horse, Eldfari(Fire Traveller) was born April 15, 2023 with an audience of adoring spectators. He is a red splash with partial blue eyes. His sire is Ómi från Stav, a 1st prize palomino stallion residing in Germany. Ómi was the world's highest judged stallion in 2007 outside of Iceland and in the same year he qualified for the World Breeding Championships for the Swedish team. His dam, Hringför frá Brekkukoti, is sired by Kakali frá Efri-Þverá who is evaluated 2nd prize with a score of 8.55 for conformation. His maternal grandsire is 1st prize Goði frá Sauðárkróki. Our Story

We are a small farm nestled on 54 acres in Mid Michigan. We raise Tennessee Walking Horses, Icelandic Horses, Australian Shepherds of the Miniature and Toy size varieties, and Crested Budgies(Japanese Hagoromo too).

We are home to Dunn Cashed In, a devilishly handsome red dun TWHBEA registered stallion, and Silfri from Solheimar, a stunning blue dun UCHC registered Icelandic Stallion. Cash is one of the few registered duns in the walking horse breed. He has many attributes along with his unique coloration. Cash has excellent conformation, natural gait and head shake. Cash has an impeccable temperament. He is quiet, level headed, sweet, easy going, he is a true gentleman. He takes care of his riders and is calm enough for beginners to ride, yet under the hand of an experienced rider is forward, light, and poetry in motion. He his wonderful to handle on the ground and during collections as well. He has outstanding bloodlines that include WGC Coins Hard Cash, Midnight Sun, Suns Delight D, Triple Threat, and Mack Ks Handshaker. Cashs sire, Coins Hard Cash, is a leading sire in the walking horse breed. Weather you are breeding for the show ring or the trail, one of Cash's foals is the right choice! Silfri is a handsome icelandic stallion with big, high, and wide movement. He is sired by Parker frá Sólheimum, a spectacular chestnut stallion who was evaluated at 8.39 overall. His dam Sif frá Efri-Rauòalæk is a stunning grullo mare who was evaluated at 7.85 overall. Silfri has excellent conformation, and is 5 gaited. He has an excellent temperament and is quiet, brave, independent, sweet, and very friendly. He has not been started under saddle yet, we hope to get him going this summer and have him evaluated in 2018. He has outstanding bloodlines that include Hervar frá Sauðárkróki and Sleipnir frá Efri-Rauðalæk a first prize stallion.

Our Australian Shepherds are wonderful family pets, they are exceptionally smart, compete in agility, and are great herding dogs. Our dogs are all genetically disease tested and have OFA certifications for their eyes hips, and elbows when age appropriate. We have a few litters of puppies a year and typically have a combination of black tricolor, red tricolor, blue merle, and red merle in each litter.

We were the first person in North and South America to import Japanese Crested Budgies. These are also called Hagoromo (Japanese word for helicopter) budgies. We will be offering a select few for sale once we have had a few clutches. We also raise some nice exhibition(also known as English) budgies with and without crests. Our birds are available in almost all colors and we have some of the less common color varieties such as fallow, Texas Clearbody, Easely Clearbody, and lutino/albino mutations.
