Happy national day of the horse! It’s so weird to be down to just two horses in my life, but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten horses I’ve been lucky enough to learn and grow with 🥰

🤫 Fancy This Secret 🤫

Due to no fault of his own Benny is for sale and looking for his next family! Benny was shown competitively in the halter when we had him for two years and he’s has been trail rode and been a play day horse for the past 5 years. He would make a real nice ranch hand/rope horse project for someone. He’s soft, and has a good handle, just needs a refresher!

He hauls, shows, clips, stands for farrier, stands to be saddled, you name it, he’s about at quiet as you can find them. He makes friends with everyone, lives with any kind of horses without any problems. He stands approximately 15 hands.

I’m really enjoying this filly and watching her mature every day! She’s got beauty, brains, and about as correct as you can find them. I’m really excited to be a part in this one’s success and future 🏅

A quick trip to the Iowa Quarter Horse Futurity for
🔥Rollin In Hot🔥and he didn’t disappoint! It’s hard when you’re the youngest and the smallest in the class but he sure showed great! I’m super proud of how well he took everything in stride, with only having 2 weeks prep between weaning and training! We ended the day with three 3rds and a 2nd under one judge! Thank you Anna O'Neal for raising such a good minded boy and trusting me with him to get the job done! Yearling year here we come! 💪🏼

I’m back and giving this page a fresh start and a good clean up!

✨ I’m super excited to start the future of this barn and the prospects that will be coming out of it! Keep your eyes open for future updates on what I will have to offer as far as lessons, refreshers, training and fitting horses, sale horses all starting in 2024!

Results from the 2019 Iowa State Fair:

Lil’ Gold Dress:
- 1st in Yearling Halter

Love My Attencion:
- 2nd in Aged Mares out of a LARGE class of high quality mares

A Golden Nugget:
- 1st in 2 year old halter
- Blue in showmanship
- Overall GRAND CHAMPION HALTER HORSE

And just like that we are off to the 2019 Iowa State Fair! Safe travels to everyone hitting the road today and good luck throughout the week! We will be showing on Thursday only since we only have halter horses this year! We will be out there all week in the sheep barn, feel free to come find us!!

Last show before we head to the good ole’ Iowa State Fair!! We always take this chance to get the lesser experienced horses out for one last trip before they get around all the sites and scenes! So today Love My Attencion (Bree) got to join in on the action!

Casper:
1st - 2 & 3 Year Old Halter
2nd - Open Horse Halter
2nd - Color Breed Halter
3rd - Adult Showmanship

Bree:
4th - Open Horse Halter
4th - Color Breed Halter

Coming home with a lot of things to fine tune in two weeks, but we can only keep getting better!

Show day once again! I have to thank Rick Kuehn for showing Casper for me since I had a family event today!

2&3 Year Old: 1st
Color Breed: 2nd
Open Horse: 2nd

Casper even got some saddle time today! Spontaneous decision but he handled it with with ease!

Crazy morning today but always well worth it!

Only had Casper with us today and he was still on his game!

Beyond proud of how well this horse is coming along!

Today was a hot one, but a good one!

1st in Color Breed Halter

4th out of 14 in Jackpot Pleasure
3rd in Adult Walk Trot out of 12

It was nice to pull the old grey out and pack her around for a while! I love a good old reliable mare! ❤️

Overall a great day!

Another great show in the books!!

Lil’ Gold Dress (Lady):

- Yearling Halter: 2nd and 2nd
- Open Horse Halter: 3rd and 4th
- Color Breed Halter: 3rd and 3rd

A Golden Nugget (Casper):

- Two and Three Year Old Halter: 2nd and 2nd
- Open Horse Halter: 2nd and 2nd

But the highlight of the show for us was Casper in:

- Adult Showmanship: 2nd and 1st!!!!!

This horse works his butt off for me and today he worked hard enough to put me in there with the big dogs and out of a class of 12 brought me to the top! I’m so very proud of him!

A simple pattern that doesn’t allow for many errors makes a judge focus on the little things. And we put all of it together today! I’m so very blessed to have him in my life! 🙏🏼💙

Took a spin tonight with little Xena in tow! She’s definitely got some attitude but there wouldn’t be any fun without some sass! 🤪

Boot camp training for the kiddos today. Show season is upon us so that means workouts whenever we can find the time! Now if only we could finally have some nice weather so they can finish dropping hair 🙏🏼

It’s always hard to see the good ones go but when they have to opportunity to go to a good home, it’s worth it. Today Benny packed up and went to his new home! Congratulations to the McDermott family on your purchase of a pretty special one!

Summer nights like these seem like a distant dream with all this snow ❄️ But it’ll be here before we all know it! Who’s ready for warm weather and show days? I know I am! 🙋🏻‍♀️
