Look at this handsome guy trying so hard to get his foster brother to play with him! A rescue with a rough start through the Dexter Animal Shelter, Tails is looking for a forever home still! This boy is now 4 months old. He is in foster care with big and little dogs and a couple other cats. This loving boy is looking for a lap to call his own! Tails is still looking for his furrever home! He may be nervous to meet a new fur family but is currently in foster with two adult cats and four dogs!!! They are all getting along very well! He is at a perfect age to fit into an already existing fur family 😁. He is approximately 4 months old and very playful! He wants love on his terms, will let you hold him but when he wants it. Other than needing to keep his weight maintained by strict twice daily measured feeding, his injuries will cause very few lifetime issues! He’s a happy go lucky guy with nothing but a pawsitive outlook on his life thanks to donations and the Dexter Animal Shelter bringing him in and letting us fix him up!! We are moving to the new building this week!!! As we are making this transition, we are asking that from here on out, please call in a prescription ahead of time so we can work on getting it ready. 😁Otherwise you may expect significant wait time. Tails is such a happy go lucky guy! He has really enjoyed his time this weekend being in a foster home. He used the litter box like a champ and did well cautiously meeting a dog at his foster home. Hasn’t met the cats quite yet. Now that his skin has almost healed we addressed a hip that was out today. We are hoping this is the end of major surgeries for this sweet little guy! Help us get this sweet boy to his furrever home! He will have an adoption fee of $150 payable to the Dexter animal shelter account and vet references will be required and checked. The adoption fee will cover his future neuter costs and his vaccines are also covered through the shelter!

It’s here!!! It’s here!!!! It’s finally here!!! We hope you are as excited as we are. The move is in sight! Our new building (on the same property and even same driveway!) is ready for us to move in! We plan to get into our new building and want you to be a part of it. Come out and join us August 3rd from 12-3 p.m. for a ribbon cutting and open house! Our staff will happily give tours of the new facility at this time. We’d love to celebrate this occasion with you! There was a technical glitch trying to do this live but the winner of the custom made door mat is Hunter Almond!! We appreciate the support of the local shelter and the fur babies in need! How have we not gotten any donations for this poor guy?!?! We have now named him Tails and he is becoming so very sweet!! Not only does this sweet boy need care several times a day, but he will need surgery in a couple of weeks to help him heal. We will also be needing to find him a perfect home when he is ready to go! Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!! All donations will be made to the Dexter Animal Shelter. If we are able to raise any in excess of his medical needs, it will go toward the Shelters dwindling medical funds. We have decided it is time to start taking applications for Shiloh’s adoption. As she is still on the mend, we plan to be picky as to where she goes. Vet references will be required along with an adoption fee that will be paid to the Dexter Animal Shelter. While there is still a good chance she will make a full recovery, she is still and may always be a bit of a wobbler. Because of her condition, we do not plan to home with rough and tumble bigger dogs and younger children who may be too rough with her. She is working on potty training and doing well, but we can’t say she is 100% yet. She does ask to go outside and it has been a few days with no accidents.
