I growled at mom this morning when she said it was time to go to work. The only way was agreeing to this ridiculous idea was to leave the house with my "stogie" in tow.
And then at work, my co-workers put up my "anti-jump shield" on my stroller. Seriously, rainy days are the worst!

Acupuncture treatments make me feel good! ...even though I'm a bit nervous at first and try to hide.

I'm still going to rehab, and I'm feeling great! This time I tried surfing! Dr Mary says we have to strengthen my core muscle to help my back muscles. The back muscles are still a bit twitchy and achy. So instead of doing sit ups, I'm surfing. ...but in reality, this kinda feels like a bath, and you all know how I feel about bath time. 🐶

5 months after surgery and my back is still tight and spasm-y. Dr Mary says it might be because I race through my exercises too fast just to get a treat. Maybe some truth to the that! So I have some new exercises for my core muscles.
After my exercises, mom massages my back while laying on the PEMF mat from . I don't understand why people don't believe me when I tell them my life is difficult when I beg for belly rubs!🐶😆

Uuno is returning to his position as Bravery Assistant at Dexter Dental Studio!

Rehab has been going well and he continues getting stronger every day.

His return will begin with a few restrictions. To reduce the risk of Uuno falling or jumping, he will not be sitting on patient’s laps in the dental chair.

Uuno will be back in his palace at the front desk, ready to greet you; or you may just find him snoring!

Mom made me take a bath today. 🛁🧼 As you know, I hate baths. But she said I can't go back to work smelling like a dirty dog!
Yep...medical leave is over (with restrictions) and summer vacation is over. Back to work!!
I get to see all my co-workers and my friends who come to get their teeth cleaned! ..so I will forgive mom this time for putting me in the tub.

On my birthday, mom still made me go to my physical therapy rehab appt. Geez, mom!! But somehow they knew it was my birthday and gave me a present! That made my belly happy!!

Uuno is 7 years old today! 🥳

He has helped SO many patients as a bravery assistant and we have been lucky to have his company at Dexter Dental Studio all these years.

Seeing Uuno improve after surgery has eased our minds - and those improvements were obvious yesterday with the energy his birthday treats brought out! He was jumping for joy and running around with his new toys like a puppy!

Today, he'll be napping, enjoying belly rubs, and eating a treat or two.

After the weekend of trailrunning, my hip was pretty achy. Thankfully Dr Mary had me scheduled for acupuncture this week!

I tried something new today!!
Nurse Emily was my today. I needed her! I didn't like it when Dr Mary tried to put a needle into the sore spots on my back. But tolerated well on my hips and down the sore leg. And even into my forehead! I looked like a unicorn! 🐶🦄
Now I'm supposed to drink a lot of water and take a lot of naps! Easy peasy for this nap loving guy!

Well, after my "swim class", Nurse Tanya had me do even more exercises, like stepping up on the blue cushion and stepping up and over poles. As you can see, I debated if the treat was even worth stepping over the poles for! But she kept coaxing me to do it. So I did it! 💪🐕 And was rewarded with a relaxing laser treatment.
It was like a day at the spa, mom said. (Mom thinks she's funny😆)

I had physical therapy at rehab today. I was pretty nervous in the water. Fortunately, they didn't actually give me a bath...that's what I was most afraid of! 😆🛁
Nurse Tanya took good care of me and so I decided to be brave and started my walking exercises! 🐾🐾(Mom wonders how many treats they had to bribe me with?!?)

Today I got to hit the big boy trails!! Mom has been making me stay safely on the neighborhood sidewalks. The big boy hiking trails have bicycles, joggers, and other dogs 🐕...lots of traffic, she said. I walked faster on the trails and lots of sniffing, too. First day of freedom!! I have been released from crate prison! I got an excellent report from Dr Sara @holistichealingandchiropracticcenter This week I started being able to walk in a straight line. This is important, because I love to walk on the curb! My back legs only swing and drag toward the end of my walk when I might be a little fatigued. I am getting stronger and stronger! Good morning! 5 weeks after surgery, and I'm moving around well! My right back leg has a gimp, but it isn't slowing me down, and I'm not afraid of it.
