Madison Fields is dedicated to providing agriculture-based opportunity that is accessible to vulnerable populations and those with all levels of ability.

Madison Fields provides a rural experience within minutes of the nation’s capital. The site will create engagement with the broader community through internships, partnerships, agricultural learning projects, and collaboration with high school students. Currently, Madison Fields features several existing structures including a state-of-the-art riding stable, bank barn, corn crib, chicken coop, tenant housing, a guest house, a historic farmhouse, and two fully-enclosed out buildings.

Assist with feeding, turnout, mucking, and cleaning. Help care for our animals and keep the barn in top shape!

🌱 Job Readiness Program
Support adults with I/DD disabilities as they develop vital workforce skills by helping out in various farm areas like the barn, chicken coop, soapery, and garden.

🖇️ Office Support
Lend a hand with administrative tasks to keep our programs running smoothly.

Last week we were visited by an incredible organization The Personal Care Foundation. They partnered with us to pack care packages full of hygiene items, including our handmade goats milk soap! 🐐🧼 Our wonderful Job Readiness participants assisted in packing 25 bags.
We're so excited to have collaborated with PCF & hope these care packages can get to those who need it! ❤️

Our Story

Madison Fields is a local project of Madison House Autism Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life led by adults with autism across the country. This beautiful 400-acre farm in the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve in Maryland serves as a place of healing, inclusion and growth for those members of our community who don’t often receive the support needed in order to fully participate and contribute. We work with community partners, businesses, and the general public to include, learn from, and work alongside individuals with various levels of ability, including adults with autism, physical disabilities, and wounded veterans. We believe our communitiy is stronger when we are all growing together. We currently offer Equine-Assisted Therapy and Activities, Agricultural Education for students from nearby schools, Job Readiness training for adults with developmental and intellectual challenges, and lots of opportunities for volunteers. We also host community events and gatherings in our historic farm buildings.
