Paul Bunyan and his companion, Babe, account for the many lakes and ponds of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, created, as they were, by the massive footprints left behind by the pair. American Water Spaniels specialize in hunting in them.

We had a bizarre duck hunt this weekend. Zero ducks, but 2 sharp-tailed grouse decoyed perfectly!

Pheasants Forever encourages people to take a "hunter mentor pledge." I took their pledge and brought my brother, Brock, and his AWS, Winston. It was the first time Brock has been hunting in over a decade, and Winston's first time!
