Another Strider baby has arrived and broke our filly streak!!!

We have a FLASHY c**t out of the lovely paint mare, Premium. She sure delivered with her splash gene & blue eyes. Strider matched it with a cream influence and just look at that neck and shoulder!!!

We've had an exciting week!!!

Friday we had a beautiful chestnut half welsh filly born in OR to Freya, now lovingly called Princess Fiona

And this morning a chromed palomino out Sec. B filly in WA out of Prairie Dance Peony (Dakota Prairie Cowboy x Whispering Lilac Time)

We are staring at the snow eagerly awaiting to kick off breeding season! Strider is getting ready, although this weather is trying to tell us otherwise.

2023 books are now closed, all contracts have been filled. 2024 bookings being accepted with deposit

This will be a very interesting listen! And even more relatable as Welsh were one of the study groups. I see so many over weight ponies in the show pen for the sake of winning.
Hopefully information coming out like this will make an impact on the show world and pony ownership in general 🙂

Equine metabolic syndrome (EMS) is a metabolic derangement in horses defined by increased insulin resistance. Dr. Norton’s research is using genome-wide association studies and next-generation sequencing technologies to look at associations between known EMS phenotypes, metabolic derangements, and breed susceptibility to identify genes and putative functional alleles associated with EMS and laminitis risk, using Welsh Ponies and Morgans as a model population.

My best boy is at it again...pull him out after a month off and pony Scotch down the section line. Sometimes you have to push them to see how awesome they are.

If you want to make a quiet using and show pony, Strider is your man! He can clean up and go show or help me pony the couple c**ts I have and head out to the pasture. Getting pulled on and bumped into helps make a pony that won't bo**er out on the trail or in the deathly warm up pen🤣😳

I can't wait to start Scotch, he is so quiet and willing. Should be a breeze to make into a trusty mount😉
