This guy here….he is always the hero for us! Lanie spotted this rat snake above one of the rafters over a stall this evening and Jimmy caught him and relocated him! Mr. No Shoulders has already given me a near heart attack for the past few days and (I assume) is the reason one of our chicks went missing a week or so ago.
So long, scary danger noodle who became a scary biting stick once he was caught!

So...this is what the little artist does while I get a lesson from our phenomenal trainer on tuning up the herd’s ground manners! I swear, Lanie amazes us everyday with her incredible artistic talent!! I almost didn’t want to write the rations in for fear that I would mess up the board with my handwriting!

In the quiet of the morning, watching the sun come up, it’s so peaceful at Humble Acres! An hour from now will bring new sounds of dump trucks driving and machines hard at work building an arena, but for now, this silence is golden, just like the sunrise! Happy Sunday!

So, I'm tossing an idea around for Humble Acres and hoping for some imput from my friends...

Do you think parents would be interested in hosting kid's birthday party at Humble Acres? Activities to choose from would include horseback riding (lead line in the round pen), feeding chickens, gathering eggs, catfishing, hayrides around the pasture, making s'mores, etc.

And if so, what price would be considered reasonable? What age kids do you think would be interested?
