Levi is visiting the horses.
Good morning!
I got lucky last month. I was in tractor supply and they had a special on a bunch of chicks for $.50 each.
I’ve got the chicken tractor set up on the garden by the pond and the baby chicks are now old enough to go out and start earning their keep. Hopefully they’ll be cleaning a lot of seeds and bugs out of this area. Of course they’re a little young to do the whole job so I’m gonna throw a few adults in there withthem.
We are closed for the season.
But I have the whole crew out working hard to prepare for the next one
We will be open Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Meet the new additions to our farm. My grandson Gage and I were trying to plan these to hatch out on my son‘s birthday. They came one day early.
Gage just loves anything to do with the chickens and I know he’ll be super excited when he gets to meet them. Gage helped me to make her a new nest in the chicken tractor where she wouldn't be bothered by the other chickens trying to lay more eggs in her nest. And he very carefully gathered her eggs and moved them to the new area. And we have new baby chicks! Success!
We do have some cantaloupe and small watermelon left. This will probably be the end of them.
Happy Fourth of July everyone!
Around here everyone’s been enjoying watermelons, even the bunnies.

At the end of the post, you can see she’s picking out watermelon and putting it on the ground for the babies to eat
