I just wanted to let my clients know my surgery this morning went very well and I am walking, drinking water and feeling ok. I should be released tomorrow.

Thank you to all who helped me out during these two months off with no income by dropping off donations or donating to the gofundme my friend set up. I didn’t expect that and super super appreciate you all.

I know these skipped appointments will be a challenge and I’m very grateful that everyone was so understanding and wished me well. I am blown away by the support. Thank you. My business means the world to me and I’m doing this so that I can keep grooming for years to come.

I appreciate you all and see you in October!!

IMPORTANT PSA:

Check your dog for fleas and ticks before dropping off at your groomer, and be sure they are on appropriate flea and tick medication.

We have a zero tolerance policy on fleas here. Dogs with fleas are sent home immediately and you are responsible for the cost of sanitation.

If you suspect your dog has fleas, a vet appointment for medication is needed before you take them to the groomer, never take your dog in a public place if you see any sign of fleas.

Hello!

I am having a major abdominal surgery on Aug 9th. Grooming is a very tiring and physical job, and I also suffer from Fibro so healing is a long process for me. I will be taking 2 months off to recover from surgery and rebuild my strength. This is stressful for me as I will be without income, but I want to continue to do this job I love for many more years to come so I gotta take care of me right now!

All appointments between Aug 8 and Sept 30 (hopefully no longer) will be cancelled. I am in the process of sending every client a text to confirm this, so if you have not gotten this text yet, it’s coming in the next few days.

Please feel free to book with another groomer in the meantime if you can find someone to fit you in (most are very booked out). I total understand.

Thank you so much for understanding. I appreciate you all SO much!!

I will also be sending out the usual Book For Next Year form sometime in mid-Sept so keep an eye out for that as well.

Please pay attention to the DATE on your reminder! Many are coming a day early: the system always sends text reminders TWO days before your appointment.

If you do not confirm, it will call you as well. The day, date and time are listed in the reminder as well as on the paper schedule you got for the year.

If the date on the reminder text is not the same as on your paper schedule for some reason, please go by the TEXT reminder as that is sent automatically directly from my calendar. 📆

If there are any confusions, just give me a text so we are all on the same page!

Just caught this kitty in front of my shop, the videos of it being tossed from under cars are heartbreaking. Poor baby is at vet now but will need some serious care based on how it was walking and laying.

Best update: mama kitty was returned to her family today! Thank you so much to everyone for your donations and shares!

We are rushing this kitty to the vet as I post this - not sure male or female but this little tabby was injured by two separate vehicles today.

We have on video that it dropped out from the undercarriage of one vehicle and was in obvious distress, crawled off the road and eventually hid under a trailer where it was struck again when the trailer pulled away.

**🚑update 1: female - degloved leg and road rash on her face. She’s at the vet getting pain management and a full evaluation to see about internal injuries.

**🚑update 2: VERY VERY pregnant female is due with a litter of kittens any day now. She has some soft tissue damage (bruising etc) along with one leg degloving injury. She and kittens seem to be ok despite being rolled TWICE in a short amount of time.

🚨She dropped out of an SUV undercarriage on 1st St E today around 2:20pm. In case she belongs to the vehicle she fell out from under on the road, we’ve included a screenshot of the vehicle in comments to hopefully find her owner.

Also, beware of dangle tags! They can get caught on things and cause strangulation. Flat tags or engraved collars/buckles are always the best choice.

I do not charge no show or late cancellation fees for weather issues. If you have an appt this week and need to cancel, that is totally fine. However I do not have any spots to move anyone to so missing an appt will mean you have to skip until their next one.
