Foster Puppies 😍
Fostering puppies is one of the most crucial roles in animal rescue. Shelters and rescues are often overcrowded, and young puppies, especially those who are orphaned, sick, or under-socialized, are among the most vulnerable animals in the system. Foster homes provide a safe, loving environment where these puppies can grow, heal, and learn the skills they need to thrive in their forever homes.
Why Fostering Puppies is So Important:
1. Saves Lives – Many puppies are at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space in shelters. Fostering opens up space for more rescues and gives each puppy a fighting chance.
2. Helps Puppies Develop – Puppies need socialization, structure, and care that shelters often can’t provide. Foster homes help them build confidence and learn basic manners, making them more adoptable.
3. Provides Critical Medical Care – Many rescued puppies arrive with health issues, from malnutrition to treatable diseases like parvo. Foster homes give them the individualized care they need to recover.
4. Eases Shelter Overcrowding – By fostering, you reduce the strain on shelters and allow them to focus on other animals in need.
5. Increases Adoption Rates – Puppies who have been fostered tend to be better adjusted and more socialized, making them more appealing to adopters.
6. Creates a Ripple Effect – Every fostered puppy who finds a home makes room for another dog to be saved, continuing the cycle of rescue.
7. Fosters Learn & Grow Too – Being a foster not only changes the lives of puppies, but it also brings fulfillment, love, and purpose to those who open their homes to them.
Fostering is truly the bridge between rescue and a loving forever home. Even if it’s temporary, the impact lasts a lifetime—for both the puppy and the foster. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the perfect time to change a life.

Dog training facilities provide valuable structure and tools, however it’s important to acknowledge that they can’t perfectly replicate what happens at home.
For example, in the video of Chance, he’s holding his “place” command amidst chaos. While we occasionally had to guide him back to his spot with a leash, this is part of the process to reinforce his understanding of the command.
Chance has a foundation of basic obedience: he knows commands like sit, down, stay, and understands leash pressure (how to respond to gentle guidance on the leash). He’s also been desensitized to busy environments, so we’re not asking him to perform beyond his capability.
A training facility helps establish this kind of foundation. We teach dogs basic obedience and provide owners with the skills to implement it in real-world situations. This combination helps dogs learn how to behave appropriately in various social settings.
Training facilities allow dogs to practice and learn these skills in a structured environment, but the transition to implementing these lessons at home requires consistency and follow-through from owners.
