Reset a set of egg bars today on a new horse. Thought it was interesting how the last farrier welded up these shoes. But the horse has been sound since then so I just reset the same shoes. Next time around ill probably build a new set of shoes for this horse.

Sorry to those clients that I had to reschedule this last week. I have been sick all this week. I was in the ER twice. I think we have things figured out and I'm feeling better now. I'm ready to get back to work next week.

This dry and hot weather can really take a toll on your horses feet. I have seen a lot of feet lately that are very dry, hard and brittle. Many of them begin to chip or break off if not properly cared for, this can cause lameness ans soreness.
