Meet Kai! 🐾
Kai is a spirited young Red/White Heeler pup with loads of personality and energy to match! At just 5 months old (he'll hit that milestone at the end of June), Kai is already a sturdy 35 lbs of fluffy charm. He’s got striking red-and-white curls that make him as handsome as he is lovable.

Like any puppy, Kai is still learning his manners and would thrive in a home that can offer patience, structure, and plenty of playtime. He’s an active guy who loves to explore, and he’d be thrilled to join you on walks, hikes, or any adventure you’ve got in mind! He would do best in a home with older children who won't trigger his heeler drive :)

Kai is scheduled to be neutered on July 8th, and he’ll be ready to go to his forever home shortly after. Come meet this sweet pup, take him for a stroll, and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family!

Meet Murphy – Your New Best Friend!

📍 Location: Dillon, Montana (from a high-kill shelter in California)

Murphy is a happy, healthy pup with a heart as big as the Big Sky! This 6-month-old lab/pit mix is full of typical puppy energy—playful, curious, and always up for an adventure. He especially loves romping around the yard with his best buddy River and playing with toys (he doesn’t chew them up, just loves the fun!).

Murphy is dog-friendly and shows great potential to be a wonderful companion. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and bonds with kindness and patience. He’s already working on leash walking and recall, and he’s a smart cookie who’s eager to please—so house training should come along smoothly.

He rarely barks unless there’s something worth barking about, and he’s in great health. Murphy is up to date on vaccinations, has been treated for parasites, and will be available for adoption as soon as he’s neutered.

Meet London! Her adoption has been fully sponsored by one of our supporters!

London is a shy young girl, around a year old, who’s still finding her footing after some recent heartbreak. Unlike her siblings, she was a bit emaciated and is working on regaining weight. She came to us with her siblings after the loss of their beloved owner, and while she’s still adjusting to shelter life, we see the quiet sweetness behind those cautious eyes.

London has lived indoors her whole life and would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can take her time to settle in. Once she feels safe, we know her gentle personality will begin to shine. She currently lives in the kitten room with a much younger cat whom she is doing great with. We expect her to do well in a home with other cats since she lived with 3 others in her previous home and is doing well with new cats here.

She is vaccinated, treated for parasites, and was just spayed (she'll be ready June 9)—, she’s ready to start her next chapter. London would likely enjoy the comfort of going home with her sister Paris (also waiting for a home) but could also do well on her own with the right loving person.

Meet Spuddy
Spuddy is an approximately 4-year-old male Idaho S**g with a gentle soul and a heart ready to heal. He came from a hoarding situation where he lived with about 50 other dogs, and while he's still a bit shy, he's definitely coming out of his shell. He takes treats with a very soft mouth and will sometimes even give a little kiss on your hand. He also lets staff brush him and use waterless soap. We haven't worked up to a full bath yet, as he's only been with us a short time and we don't want him to get too stressed out. Once we do bath him, we'll update his post! We expect him to accept baths like a champ---he's done so well with everything new so far.

Spuddy will allow pets and calmly accepts human presence, though he hasn’t yet learned to seek out human affection on his own. We’ve worked with nearly 30 dogs from the same situation, and every single one has blossomed with time, trust, and love. Those who’ve been adopted are thriving in their new homes—and we have every reason to believe Spuddy will, too.

He’s not housetrained yet, having lived outdoors all his life, but Idaho S**gs are intelligent and adaptable. With patience and consistency, we’re confident he’ll adjust well to a home environment. He keeps his indoor overnight kennel clean--waiting to be let out in the morning to do his business.

Spuddy is looking for a kind and understanding adopter who can offer him the stability and love he deserves. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Spuddy just might be your perfect companion.

This was an especially emotional adoption for our staff as we have watched Marlow languish here for months waiting for his perfect match. We cried tears of joy when he went home with his new dad! Happy tails, sweet friend! Sometimes perfection takes time 💕
