Intensive planting..... Who uses these techniques, and what has the outcome been?
As the world's population grows, the amount of land left for growing food is dwindling, faster than we realize. In an attempt to grow more food in the same area, this is one way to get more from less.
I feel than vertical gardening is the future. I believe that aeroponic towers will grow a substantial amount of vegetables in the future. I would like to set up a small aeroponic garden of around ten towers, and incorporate aquaphonics into the mix.

Thoughts?

They're a long ways off, and it's pretty blurry as well. There a 4 Bison visible from the front porch. One entire side of The National Bison Range sits between us and a portion of the Mission Mountains that isn't visible from here.

Pretty warm for a winter day in Montana. What little snow we had down low, is all but gone.
The big bend in the Flathead River right here, makes this place a banana belt. Not many Montana gardeners are able to enjoy a hardiness zone 6A, other than right around here and west downriver.

What remains of an old homestead across the river from the house. There used to be a bridge here in Dixon, but it was in bad enough shape when I was a kid you could only walk, or ride bikes across it. My dad remembered driving across it when he was a young adult. The bridge has been gone for years, but all of the planks were gathered from when it collapsed by my dad and uncles...I got to go once...I was just a kid. It has been a my parents garage for 35+/- years. My great grandparents settled and homesteaded across the river and behind those hills. After having kids they sold there and moved to this side of the river. All of the land they had on this side of the river, is no longer in the family. Oh what I'd give for it to be though. I'll get a picture of the garage from the salvaged bridge, after it gets light and put it in a comment.
