Class registration opens today! We have everything you want for training classes! These ALl classes are one hour per week for a 6 week session. Classes begin the week of November 1st, here at our K9 training and enrichment center. Here is the schedule.

Registraation is open at 10:00 am today! Call us at 815-288-7387 or stop in and register in person! We are located at 613 River Lane in Dixon. As a remindeer, all dogs must be up to date on age appropriate vaccines including Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies.

Daniele who teaches our Small Dog Obedience Classes competed with her papillon last weekend.
They did Very Well earning a qualifying score of 195 1/2 out of a possible 200. Congratulations Daniele and Sarah!
Let's get those little dogs trained in a safe environment with comparably sized dogs, see you next session!

Meet our new agility trainer, Hunter! Hunter will be hosting beginner & intermediate agility on Wednesdays!

“I started working with dogs 8 years ago shortly after acquiring my first dog Kas, a Belgian Malinois. She was unruly and I was unaware as to how to handle her. I attended my first obedience class and shortly after, my first agility class. Kas went on to get her first few titles in agility and obedience. We also enjoy dock diving and hiking. Stōk, my second Mal, came into my life almost 4 years ago and he’s being trained for agility and IGP. He enjoys swimming and anything else that may include a toy. My love for dog training as a whole was a direct result of learning what it can be like to have a true relationship with your dog. Working together towards a goal of any kind gives both handler and dog a sense of accomplishment and pride. Whether that goal is walking nicely on the leash or a title, it’s a goal worth working towards. I’m big on having fun while you train and not making training a stressful thing for you or your dog. My top priority is teaching handlers how to read and speak to their dogs in a way they can understand. I hope to spur confidence and resilience in every student I come across of any age.”

We’re thrilled to announce that our new round of training classes is starting soon, and there’s something for everyone! Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, we’ve got you covered with multiple beginner obedience classes at various times. Plus, we're bringing back our popular agility classes! Mark your calendars because classes kick off the week of June 3rd. Pick your class date and time when you sign up—it's your choice! Each class is 6 weeks, 1 hour a day.

📞 **Call us at 815-288-7387 on Monday, May 20th, to register!** Payment is due at the time of registration. Class fees for new students: $150 for full 6 week session. Class fee for returning students: $140.

🐶 **Important Info for Your Pups:**
- Dogs must be 12 weeks and older.
- Puppies under 4 months (16 weeks) must be up to date on Bordetella and Distemper/Parvo vaccinations.
- Dogs 4 months and older must be up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper/Parvo vaccinations.
- We will need your vet office to fax us a copy of your dog’s vaccines.

Meet one of our beginners obedience trainers, Molly!

“Hi my name is Molly Ziegler and I am one of the beginner obedience trainers here at Granny Rose. I have been training dogs for 10 years and owned labs my entire life. I now show and breed English Labs.

My main area of interest is Obedience but I enjoy working my dogs in Rally, Adgility, Confirmation, Dock Diving, and am looking forward to starting Scent Work. My dogs have titles in Canine Good Citizen, STAR Puppy, Trick Dog, Beginner Novice, Novice, Open, and am currently training in Utility. I enjoy spending my time at Granny Rose teaching class and working with my own dogs but also enjoy doing Therapy Dog work in schools with children of all ages. I am involved with dogs though 4H and AKC. I am now one of the instructors of a local 4H dog training organization, Kids & K9s, where I assist 4H aged children train their dogs in preparation for their County and State level dog show.”
