Willie the leftover pup
Haven’t done much with Willie. He’s 8 months old out of Deuce x Cotton. He’s just gone with me feeding cows all winter, getting a good recall and starting to down. And never takes his eyes off the cows
Worked the cows today, including dehorning the old, snotty cows. Brought Willie to see the calves. This was his 1st time to get to do more than bark through the fence. He got knocked on his butt twice and came back biting. If you want one with grip and grit, he’s still available. That’s mom Cotton and Grandma Dally in there, too.
“Willie”
Leftover pup 1st time to see cattle. 4 months old.
Rachel making good progress with her blue eyed Deuce x Cotton pup. Almost 4 months old
Deuce x Cotton pup 10 weeks old. 1st time to see sheep.
Deuce x Cotton red merle pup that went to Minnesota. 10 weeks old, 1st time to see sheep. I like how he’s not following the other dog but moving to the stock on his own.
I can’t do this by myself. Dally and Cotton help me get them penned.

Dally got hooked, tossed In the air (sorry cameraman) and hit the ground ready to keep going. She’s as tough as they come.

“Little Joe” 13 1/2 weeks old. Pretty typical Dally pup, 1st time cross with Totem after losing Rafter J Notorious Red. Was planning on keeping a female… but she had all males. Been planning on keeping the red bi “Hoss”, but Joe is just like his mama. Hoss looks good, too. Decisions, decisions.
Hoss found the goats for the 1st time. He’ll be 12 weeks this weekend. Think it’s a good cross Kristie Franks
Totem x Dally pup ready to go to work. 9 weeks old
Time to move out of the barn and into the pen. Beautiful weather for puppies
Got this message today and Jack said I could share it. He got a Hot Shot x Dally pup almost 2 years ago:
Hello Mr. Jones, I wanted to give you an update on her. She is a really nice dog, I use her a lot on pairs and she provides pressure when needed but knows when to back off, I use her to gather cattle out of brush and she has a lot of bite. I work cattle by myself and without her I wouldn’t be able to get the jobs done. She loads trailers and drives them to the pens. In the video we penned a single yearling that was real ornery, he was on the hook and didn’t want to cooperate she was hitting the heel to drive him into the chute and when I needed to back him out of the chute, which he did not want to do, she was hitting the head. The video doesn’t really illustrate her commands and patience but shows her grit and bite. I liked the name Dally so much I named her that as well. I wanted to get another dog from your litter you have now but just don’t have the room for another dog at this time. You sure breed some good dogs.
Hot Shot x Dally female pup, "Bindi", first time on sheep, at 4 months old. Good work Lauren. This pup was hard on chickens before she left for Indiana. This has been a great cross that we'll make again.
