If you are questioning your current saddle or considering a new saddle, this workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to move forward.

This workshop is for the serious equestrian seeking knowledge to make better decisions when choosing and fitting saddles. With visual aids and hands-on opportunities you’ll explore saddle trees and materials, saddles at different stages of construction, and finished saddles with varied design features.

Participants will also develop a design summary for their ideal saddle.

Topics include:

👉 How the saddle tree determines fit and comfort for the horse;
👉 Evaluating back conformation and choosing tree specifications to match;
👉 Fitting the rider with the correct seat size and fender length;
👉 Characteristics of a comfortable seat and how gender plays a role;
👉 Rigging styles and position;
👉 Fork, horn, and cantle variations;
👉 Features that reduce a saddle’s weight;
👉 Tips for evaluating the quality and artistry of a saddle.

Come see us at the Midwest Horse Fair For Mounted Justice - Cowboy Mounted Shooting demonstrations, clinics, and lectures!!! Its going to be a blast.

🌟CLINICIAN ANNOUNCEMENT- MOUNTED JUSTICE🌟

➡️Mounted Justice is an affiliated club under CMSA who promotes a safe, exciting, and competitive environment for equestrians of all ages and skill levels who want to participate in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Mounted shooting is the fastest growing equine sport in the United States. Contestants use two .45 caliber single action revolvers loaded with five rounds of blank ammunition. A competitor crosses the timing line, engages 5 targets, returns the empty revolver to the holster then draws the second revolver and engages the final 5 targets. Scoring is based on elapsed time plus a five-second penalty for each missed target. 🎯

🐴This sport is open to men and women of all ages and horses of all breeds. New participants compete against riders in their same level. This is a sport that everyone can participate in! We would love to show you the sport and help you get started in this experience.

Today, Amber and her husband, Shawn, live on a beautiful farm property that they share with horses, cows, cats, dogs and birds of all kinds!

Had a wonder time shooting with our great friends from Easter Iowa CMSA (you guys should follow Ziggy’s page so I can tag you) 😂. Anyways Ziggy did really well during his exhibition runs this weekend. His control, calmness, and ability to keep his turns around the barrels clean actually surprised me just a bit. Here are his four stages from Saturday.

🌟Welcome for the first time to Midwest Horse Fair, Extreme Wylene! 🎆

John Deere proudly presents professional horsewoman extraordinaire and c**t starter Wylene Wilson!

Wylene grew up in Arizona riding any and every horse that came through her mother’s boarding facility. She took every opportunity she could to work with and learn from “problem” horses and made a name for herself in the community as a true horsewoman. She has been a professional horse trainer for over 25 years and is no stranger to competitions. She’s competed in rodeo circuits, Extreme Cowboy races and has developed a strong presence in the Mustang Heritage’s programs. To date, she has participated in over 14 Extreme Mustang Makeovers, where she captured three Makeover Championship titles and many top finalist positions. She has also had the opportunity to judge a multitude of competitions across different disciplines.

Her fearless, daredevil style and effervescent personality garnered her the name “Extreme Wylene”. She has been featured in films such as “Wild Horse, Wild Ride” and Nat Geo Wilds “Mustang Millionaire” three-part series, where she was able to showcase her training style. Wylene has a gift for connecting with horses on a profound level, earning their trust and respect in the process. Her dedication to the well-being and success of her equine companions is evident in every stride. Beyond her skills as a horse trainer and clinician, Wylene is also a sought-after coach! She guides riders of all levels to achieve their full potential in life. She uses her platform to mentor aspiring horse trainers to build a successful career. Her positive attitude, unwavering support, and infectious enthusiasm inspire those around her to reach for the stars and never give up on their dreams.

Wylene Wilson has taught throughout the US and Canada and has made a lasting impact on the equestrian world, spreading joy, knowledge, and a love for all things equine wherever she goes.
