What a great weekend at the National Taxidermy Competition.

I was honored to win North American Champion with my whitetail and receive a Habitat Award for my prickly pear cactus. I think I actually have more time invested in that cactus than the deer!

The best part of the weekend was seeing so many friends have success as well. Congratulations to everyone who competed.

Just got back from teaching a 4-day whitetail workshop at Central Texas School of Taxidermy in Snyder, Texas. I had a great group for this class. We spent the week studying real deer reference, focusing on anatomy, expression, and the fun small details. I learned alot this week myself.

God has truly blessed me with this platform that allows me to meet great people and for that I’m incredibly thankful. I also want to thank my good friend Jason Bynum for hosting me once again and helping make this class possible. Great week with great people.
