Every horse is special in his own way and I love teaching them! Ever since I was a lil girl I’ve dreamed of being a trainer, and am so blessed the Lord gave me a talent that I can use to help others all while spending time with my favorite animal!! You’d be surprised how much horses and their trainer compare to us and the LORD! What HE can teach you through your horse is amazing!

Please text or call (334) 435-4425 if you are interested in any of these or have questions☺️

Energy matters with horses.

High energy, low energy, nervous energy, good energy, bad energy; the horse recognizes and feeds off it.

Learn to control your energy if you want to help your horse be successful and confident. Learn to control your emotions if you want to learn to control your energy.

Controlling your energy will help make you a better horseman… it will likely help you with many things outside of the arena too.

I don’t always allow the horses to lope up a hill but made an exception to the rule for the kids to experience ☺️

Making progress

01/01/2025

It’s hard as a trainer not to get caught up in progression when horses are only here for a month. Push, push, push to get the most out of them.

Especially when starting a horse we can get caught up in them being able to do a certain amount in a months time.

Here’s a secret though, the best trainers won’t push your horse to do the “most” in a month, instead they will build your horses confidence, teach them the steps they need, and also give them the mental breaks they need.

If a horse gets something perfect when I’m working with them it’s not uncommon for me to step off and put them away right there. I recently had a horse that could NOT get his right lead, instead of trying over and over again I worked on fundamentals every day and didn’t even ask for him to lope. One day I asked for his lope to the right and he got it right away. This was only about 10 mins into our ride and I STEPPED OFF and put him away. The next ride was amazing he got his lead every time I asked.

The benefit to training this way is that you are building a mentally sounder horse. It’s really just the cliche saying “live in the present” don’t be concerned about what you need to accomplish in a certain amount of time, instead stay in the present training session. Focus on what your working on for the day and you might accomplish even more then you imagined. Pc

Such a sweet beautiful girl!!

2019 Belgium X Mare
Gwen was surrendered by her previous owner after being saved from a kill pen. She has very minimal training but does know basic groundwork and how lead. She is SO incredibly sweet, willing and brave, she is going to make someone a VERY nice mare!
Does well with geldings and mares.
Easy keeper-she is fed soaked alfalfa cubes and grain once a day. She also has access to hay 24/7 with pasture turn out 24/7. She does well in a stall but she will let you know if you are taking too long to get her food delivered. 🙂
She will need training and we will only adopt out to someone that will be willing to work with one of our verified trainers or we will require your trainer info so that we can check to see what their training methods are. The reason that we do this is because in the past, we have adopted out a horse that went to a trainer that did more damage (mentally) to the horse and she ended up coming back to us. We restarted her and she is now living a fantastic life. However, we ended up having to put A LOT of money and time back into her rehab. So please understand this is why we now have this requirement.
If you are interested in adopting Gwen, please fill out our application here:
