Dothan Animal Shelter & Adoption Center The Dothan Animal Shelter works under the command of the Dothan Police Department. Together, we aim to give every animal a chance to live a happy life!

Our Mission is to provide a safe, loving, and compassionate environment for all of our animals. The Dothan Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is organized and run by the Dothan, Alabama Police Department. We are responsible for the intake of stray and unwanted animals for the residents within the City limits of Dothan and most towns and cities in Houston County. The total number of intakes per year reaches 6,000.
