Laramie Peak Humane Society LPHS is committed to the health and welfare of the homeless pets in our community! We are also so much more than a traditional shelter!

The Laramie Peak Humane Society is committed to the health and welfare of all animals, and the active pursuit of a loving forever home for every set of paws that enters our care. Hundreds of displaced animals come through our doors each year and it takes a lot of time, rehabilitation and veterinary care to place them into new homes. With such great support from the community of Converse County and

surrounding areas, our dedicated staff and our terrific volunteer base, we are able to provide a safe temporary home for displaced animals in our community. We offer many programs and services to educate, inform and inspire people to take responsible care of their pets and to treat them with the kindness they deserve. With the support from people from all over Wyoming and beyond, we are helping to create a better community for all.

For years she has crafted Christmas Trees🎄for Paws & Pearls! And she has always done a stunning job 👏👏
This tree pictured here is up for raffle this year 🎟️
You will also be able to see the tree in person at our annual Paws and Claus 🎅 during Cowboy Christmas! So make sure you bring your kids (the furry ones and hooman ones are welcome)!!

☀️ BIG NEWS! Two amazing Mexico trips will be up for bidding during our live auction! 🌴 Each trip will get its own spotlight post coming out this Friday—keep an eye out for all the dreamy details! 🏖️

🐾 We’re also thrilled to announce the start of our Pet Food Pantry! 🥫 A generous donor wanted to make sure every pet has a full tummy this winter. Starting this Thursday (and every Thursday after), from 1 PM–5 PM, you can stop by to pick up enough food for your dog or cat to last a month—no questions asked. 💕 All we need is your name, the number of pets in your home, and their weights.

This is a brand-new program, so we may have a few kinks to work out, but we’re so excited to roll it out and help our community’s pets stay happy and healthy! 🐶🐱❤️

Meet Buford! 🐾 This handsome Bloodhound may start off a little shy, but once you get down on his level and show him some love, he’ll quickly become your very best friend. He’s around 2 years old and is truly a gentle giant with a big heart. 💛

Buford does well with other dogs and can live with cats who respect his boundaries. He’s got plenty of love to give and is ready to find a family who will love him right back. If you’ve been looking for a loyal, soulful companion, Buford is your guy. 🐕‍🦺

This almost 6-year-old Lab/Rottweiler mix is the perfect adventure buddy — and at about 50 lbs, he’s the ideal travel size! 🚗🌄

Skippy LOVES his tennis ball 🎾 and will proudly carry it everywhere. He gets along well with kids and other dogs, does great on walks, and is a pro at car rides. If you’re looking for a loyal co-pilot for road trips, camping, or just everyday life, Skippy is your guy! 💛

Meet Snoot! This handsome 1-year-old Aussie/English Shepherd mix is as sweet as they come. He can be a little shy around tall men at first, but with patience and gentle introductions, he warms up beautifully. Once he trusts you, he is affectionate, loyal, and eager to be part of the family.

As a herding breed, Snoot does best in a home with older children and people who understand his need to stay active and engaged. He’s smart, loves adventure, and would be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys hikes, car rides, or weekend trips.

📍First, we are ONE MONTH from Paws and Pearls 🫨 Time flies when you are planning a party! Make sure you get your tickets 🎟️ as we have sold out the past 2 years!
📍Second is I'm available for adoption! I'm a classic coonhound who enjoys adventure and let's my nose guide me! I get along with dogs and kids, but cats are just too fun to chase.

Paws and Pearls is December 6th at 5pm

🐾 Meet Kronk! 🐾

Kronk is a 1-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix with a whole lot of love (and energy!) to give. This sweet boy will melt right into your lap and steal your heart in no time. 💛

He’s still learning his manners, but his gentle nature and eagerness to please make him a quick learner. Kronk does great with other dogs and would thrive in an active home—especially one with older kids who can keep up with his playful spirit!

Cats, however, are just a little too tempting for this guy to resist chasing. 😅
