Laramie Peak Humane Society

Laramie Peak Humane Society LPHS is committed to the health and welfare of the homeless pets in our community! We are also so much more than a traditional shelter!

The Laramie Peak Humane Society is committed to the health and welfare of all animals, and the active pursuit of a loving forever home for every set of paws that enters our care. Hundreds of displaced animals come through our doors each year and it takes a lot of time, rehabilitation and veterinary care to place them into new homes. With such great support from the community of Converse County and

surrounding areas, our dedicated staff and our terrific volunteer base, we are able to provide a safe temporary home for displaced animals in our community. We offer many programs and services to educate, inform and inspire people to take responsible care of their pets and to treat them with the kindness they deserve. With the support from people from all over Wyoming and beyond, we are helping to create a better community for all.

🎆 Keep Your Pets Safe This 4th of July! 🐾

Fireworks might be fun for us—but for our pets, they can be terrifying. Each year, shelters across the country see a spike in lost pets following the holiday. Let’s work together to keep your furry family members safe and sound:

✅ Keep pets indoors—even if they’re used to being outside.
✅ Create a calm space with their favorite toys, a cozy bed, and background noise like a TV or fan.
✅ Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date—just in case.
✅ Don’t bring pets to fireworks displays—they’ll be much happier at home.

Let’s make this Independence Day safe for everyone—especially the ones who depend on us the most. 🐶🐱💙

🔍 The Case of the Perfect Home 🐾

Introducing our favorite feline detectives—Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson! These one-year-old sleuths may be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience (and some wet food bribery for Sherlock), they’re sure to steal your heart. 💙

Dr. Watson is a sweet, curious boy who loves head scratches and feline friends. He’d thrive in a home with other cats and maybe even a cat-friendly dog. Got a catio? Even better—Watson loves a bit of outdoor adventure (safely, of course!).

Sherlock is the more reserved half of the duo, but offer him some wet food and a cozy hidey hole, and he’ll gladly stick around for some gentle pets and the occasional play session. He prefers calm spaces and would do best with older kids or adults who respect his need for space.

They’re not a bonded pair, but these two gentle investigators are both looking for homes where they can take their time, feel safe, and be loved for the quiet companions they are. 🕵️‍♂️🐱 Ready to solve the mystery of your missing heart? Come meet Sherlock or Dr. Watson today! 🐾❤️
