The lane in front of Coffee Hounds is not a parking lane. It is for emergencies only. Yet, People still continue to park in front of my neighbor’s building continuously. All day long. The city of Douglas has told me they will issue parking citations up to $200 or more. Even when the police do get here they have yet to issue one parking citation.

Sweet Millie is celebrating her 2nd birthday with us today ❤️❤️ her mom gave us some tasty snacks for Millie’s friends, but our snack distribution system didn’t go quite as planned.. the pups had a good time anyway 🤓🤓

The truck in the video is parked in the emergency lane that runs all the way through town. My neighbors next to me allow their customers to park there every day. As a result, my clients cannot see to safely merge into traffic. My neighbors have told me they do not care anything about this problem as it does not affect them. The city of Douglas and DOT have told me there is no need for signage or anything else to clarify that it is not a parking area. The only thing I know to do is to keep drawing public attention to what could easily be a serious accident.

Let me be clear: I am not nice. I have been called every variation of a bitch with the F-word that you can possibly come up with. But if you are parking and blocking the driveway to my business or insist on parking in the emergency lane, You are going to hear a few words from me and they will not be pleasant. I have been dealing with this for years being nice got me absolutely nowhere. The city of Douglas and the DOT has told me this is not their problem. This problem only affects me and my clients, so therefore the business next to me does not care. City of Douglas and DOT do not care. You are about to see Melissa UNHINGED on your next TikTok FYP.
