Mikey cam!! Our resident Rescue Russian Tortoise is doing well! We are treating him for shell rot (see the white cream) and feeding him calcium dusted nutrient rich veggies. We keep his tank super clean while his under belly heals. Mikey has a fabulous personality and we love him so much!

Funny story… So we found a beautiful clear front freezer for our frozen fish food in New Jersey on Monday and when we got it back home we realized it was a refrigerator. It was sold as a freezer and we just believed the person, we should have checked. Sigh, so now it’s a refrigerator of snacks and drinks so you can stay hydrated and satisfied while you browse our beautiful selection of fish!

Friends!! Hudson literally growled at our cat Breezy while she walked by him while he was eating Jenna’s cupcake from Wet Nose Pet Bakery!! He LOVED it! Even more than the McDonalds he ate off the counter yesterday thanks to my daughter leaving it out. smh Anyway! Jenna Eichelberger has her own small business making these amazing treats for dogs. (She ships too!!) Her baked goods are all natural using safe ingredients for dogs, made fresh to order, zero preservatives! Your dog will thank you!! Yesterday was a truly special day, filled with excitement, hard work, and shared passion. I had the joy of hand-picking a beautiful selection of high-quality fish for our shop at my favorite wholesaler…but what made it even more meaningful was having my youngest, Scarlett Hoeber, by my side. She wanted to come along and help (since she had off school) making the experience even more memorable.

We started our journey at 4:30 a.m. and didn’t finish until 9:30 p.m. placing the last fish into our shop tanks. Through every moment choosing each fish, ensuring their well-being, and working tirelessly, Scarlett was an absolute trooper. Her dedication, enthusiasm and love for our fish reminded me why we do what we do.

More than just a business, this is our family’s passion. The care we put into every aspect of it isn’t just about selling fish… it’s about nurturing a love for these incredible creatures and sharing that joy with others. Days like this reinforce that our family business is built on love, commitment, and the deep bond we share.

When I get a shipment of wild caught fish they always come in starved after a long journey. I feed a small amount of quality flake food like NorthFin Kelp. Then the next day I feed our Freeze Dried Blackworms- Spirulina. The blackworms give them the quality protein they need to transition better and the Spirulina helps with ease of digestion. https://www.supercichlids.com/
