Incase you wanted to know what we were up to last wednsday, we were at the DVMA conference brushing up on our vet med knowledge, connecting with vendors and partners, and getting some cool swag. James really hit the jackpot with the gift card bucket and a new stethoscope!

We also had Dr. Lefort give a beautiful presentation and earn an award for everything she does for DVMA!

Did you know today is National Cat Day? To celebrate, let’s talk about the Feline Panleukopenia (FPV) vaccine!

What is the FPV vaccine?
This vaccine protects against feline panleukopenia, a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease caused by the feline panleukopenia virus. While cats of all ages are susceptible, young kittens, sick cats, and unvaccinated cats are most at risk. The virus spreads easily through shared items like bedding, toys, and litter boxes—and even through human contact if you’ve touched an infected cat.

How can we help prevent the spread?

Make sure your cat is up to date on their FPV vaccine and booster.
Always wash or sanitize your hands after handling other cats.
