Haley and Diesel’s Puppies are growing up so fast!

They are almost big enough to not squeeze through the fence lol

They pulled all of the blankets out do the “dog house” that diesel and Harley lay on in their down time lol. Thankfully I get free weekly dog blankets from the local thrift store for free (can’t sell ones with stains but the dogs don’t care). Haha

They have figured out the new dog food feeder. I was worried they wouldn’t figure it out but wow do they learn fast! They have to push the feeder door to open it. That way the chickens don’t eat it all up. They go up the ramp into the trailer which is the cuties thing and then lay on the blankets outside lol

Harley had 9 beautiful puppies! 3 boys and 6 girls.

I will be going down her waiting list next week after the Vermont sheep and wool festival this weekend.

I will also be replying back to everyone to filled out an application for one of these working dog pups!

I think I will only have 2 left not spoken for as of right now.

Harley is due September 24th, 2024. We already have a few people on her waiting list!

These are Maremma X Great Pyrenees. Both parents are Embark DNA Tested and Hip and Elbow OFA Certified.

Exposed to Sheep, Goats, Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Pigs, Small dogs, and rabbits.

What an amazing garden year for me! I don’t know how I do it some days… but wow 🤯 this harvest is getting out of control!

I will have beets, tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, rutabaga, turnips, and parsnips, ready to harvest in the next few days still!

Thanking the Lord for this wonderful year! I have been canning like crazy and still have little time. But getting it done slowly but surly!

Busy last few weeks! Watching my neighbors farm while he is was on vacation! Move 4 chicken tractors, milking 3 cows, feeding 9 pigs, layer chickens, beef cows, and baby meat birds was a lot last weekend! This week I planted 30 blueberry bushes and 100 strawberry plants and making pickles!

I’m busy for sure. Next week doing off rabbits that I’m behind on.

We are expecting another litter of working dogs for this fall! We already have a few names on our waiting list.

Diesel - Great Pyrenees, Embark DNA Health tested, OFA Hip and Elbow tested.

Harley - Maremma Sheepdog, Embark DNA Health tested, OFA Hip and Elbow tested.

All pups will live with free range poultry - chickens, ducks, geese. Exposed to sheep, goats, pigs, and rabbits. As well as small house dogs.

It’s been a really hard week on the farm. Lost a couple lambs and a couple rabbits to this extreme heat wave. I even put fans on them and put electrolytes in their water. Such a bummer all the hard work I do goes down the drain sometimes.

Life must go on. My garden looks like it’s coming along.

Diesel won’t ever learn. His 6 in counter this year.

So far all quills are out and he is tied up again until we can figure out what to do with the porcupine issue.

The sheep! They have been roaming the land for about a week eating all the grass while I clean out their pen. They have been loving life!

New cow pen coming along! Video isn’t great but haven’t update anyone in forever!

Update on work we did this weekend! Lamb fecal - no coccidia but mega tapeworm. Yep vet said that was very unusual and she hasn’t seen that before. All the rain here really caused us problems!
