Origami Stables offers full board, training board, lessons, show tuning, lay-ups and Arena rental. I have been training horses for over 30 years.

Origami Stables offers lessons, boarding, training, layup, camps, clinics and shows. We pride ourselves on taking care of each horse as individuals with different personalities and needs. Our lesson focus is teaching a strong proper foundation in equitation and well rounded horsemanship that will take a rider in any direction they want to go in the future. We take our riders up through beginner eq

uitation classes and on to hunters, jumpers and lower level eventing. I instill a solid foundation on the flat and over fences that will allow a horse to easily move on to higher levels with his next owner. I do not rush a horse but work at a pace and progression that is customized to each individual. My experience has a broad range, having learned from some of the best. It includes Hunters, Jumpers, Eventing, Fox Hunting, Polo, TB & SB racing. I help rehome OTTBs by either fostering, advertising or checking references.

We welcome DSU this week. If you plan to ship in, please utilize the arena calendar link pinned to Featured on the page. Here is a look at when they will definitely be riding and understand that they may add more time slots.

Here's the 2025 Arena schedule Google Spreadsheet to check availability of the indoor arena. Instructions are in the calendar. Basically click on the week tab at the bottom, click on the hour that you want to arrive, type in your name, then click on the half hour and type your phone #. This way if we need to contact you we have that information.
ARENA RULES:
*Please Do Not Block the Dumpster! thank you
*ALL riders must sign a waiver>
*ALL riders under 18 must wear a helmet at ALL times when mounted.
*ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET WHEN JUMPING NO MATTER HOW OLD.
*ALL Western Adults must add an extra line and signature to the release for that they understand the inherent dangers of not wearing a helmet and agree to release the farm from harm. (this is an insurance thing so don't argue)
*clean up after your horse in the arena, in the aisle and driveway.
*If you set something up to practice put it away please.
*Use Only the 2 outside rows of lights and Turn out the lights when finished.
*Keep the Bathroom door shut tight!
*Payment in the form of venmo or cash dropped into the cash drop box in an envelope marked with your name and date

Saturday's Pumpkin Mania 2024 Fall Festival turned out quite nice. This is the first of what I hope to be many annual events. We did hold a smaller event 2 years ago that was combined with a small fun horse show. This years event did not have a horse show component and I think it was actually nicer that way. We raised enough money to pay for the filing of our nonprofit. Be on the lookout for that in the near future! I want to thank everyone that made this weekend possible. Facebook does not allow businesses to tag individual people so I'm going to list them and then share this to my personal page and tag as many as I can. A huge thank you to Steve Krafft, Jessier Balfant, and Zach Voss from Zach's Undercut for donating their time, equipment, materials and getting donations from Homestead Gardens to redo the landscaping in front of the barn. It looks fantastic! I want to thank the vendors that came out to sell their crafts and food, Raspados Bayu, El Manny's, T-Mobile, Handicrafts by EyeAsia, Pepperru Shoppe, Sophia's Secret Show Bows, Axe Shack, Backyard Adventure Rentals, Steve's family for the chocolate covered Oreo table, Jessier's family for the Spanish bread and coffee table. I want to thank my many volunteer parents and students and my family, for helping to set up and man all the stations and very popular pony rides.

In&Out CT and Jumper Show candids

What a great fun show today. The weather was perfect. We even had just enough rain last night to knock the dust down in the jumper ring. Everyone rode well and even the less than perfect rides were great learning experiences. Hippo learned that the scary judges table with two goblins was actually not so scary and they were actually just nice friendly people. 👻🤣. I want to say a huge thank you for everyone who showed up early to help set up and everyone who helped the show run smoothly and of course our judge and competitors! I think some of these kids need to move up! They have all improved so much since the start of the series. 💜

Our clinic with Wanja Gerlach this week during camp was excellent. Everyone loved riding with him. He will be back on Aug 25th!
