It's unusually hot and dry for October here but it sure makes riding colts enjoyable
This fire breathing little mare we call KB (KB WHIZ N DUN IT) is starting to make a jam up breakaway horse
Not the end result we were aiming for at the Old West Rope Horse Futurities. But Player worked well and they scored him accordingly placing 3rd in the second round of the Non Pro. Fun experience and very cool to see what this futurity did for the industry.
Back when we did cool stuff like a photo shoot for Idaho Farm Bureau
Took a break from riding colts and working around the place to go to town to the Ranch Rodeo and Team Branding. Kiara even let me ride her good one.
Taking colts to the branding pen for the first time will sure let you know where you're at with them. Slingshot (Flinging Dynamite) took his first trip really well. It may have snowed a bit today, but we're sure glad to be on the tail end of this miserable winter.
Cowboyz Peppy Harley, aka Francis, has been getting some runs put on him here in not so sunny Arizona. We got him late this last summer very green, stingy and about as lost as one could be inside and outside the arena. He's slowly but surely making a head horse.
MR SMOKIN NIC CD aka "Player" first jackpot back on the heel side after some time off and he got us to the pay window. We've asked a lot of this gelding from the end of his 4 year old year through his 5 year old year (this year) and he has taken it all in stride.
MR SMOKIN NIC CD aka "Player" back on the heel side after some time off. This little bay gives 100% every time

Hard to believe just a couple weeks ago we were roping in T shirts and the arena was dusty.
Putting some runs on a 3 year old head horse prospect for a client. We really try to limit our runs on live cattle on a young rope horse to make it a smooth, productive and pleasant experience.
