Update:
We have been released from quarantine! Thanks to our amazing staff and boarders for following protocols that kept the rest of our horses safe and healthy. It was a scary time for us. Just know that this can happen anywhere, at anytime, as it lies dormant in most horses. More info is available in the link below in our original post.
Special thanks to Dr Samantha Fraysier for her support and guidance. You are awesome!
We wanted our local equestrian community to know that Peace Valley Equestrian Center is in a state of quarantine as of May 27, 2022 following the death of horse at the farm. Testing has confirmed the cause as the neurological form of Equine Herpes, known also as “EHM”. For a minimum of 21 days no horses will enter or leave the property, and access by owners and personnel is being strictly controlled according to guidelines given to us by the PA Dept of Agriculture.
We have implemented biosecurity measures and are closely monitoring all of our horses under the supervision of Dr. Samantha Weaver from Blauner, Buchholz and Associates. She has been absolutely amazing and we are so thankful to have her guide us through the process.
There is an EHM Factsheet available at:

Thanks to our dedicated staff and boarders, who are working together to keep our horses healthy and safe.
Comfort to our friend who lost her horse, peace to her boy in heaven...and positive thoughts for his equine friends stabled at PV.
