Just a seasonal reminder of how to fold a blanket- this is the simple and fast way, you of course can do another step tucking the hind straps and belly straps in better, but this is most efficient for us.

When they’re hung another way it’s difficult to fit the blankets on the bar and find them easily, and often the ends are not where we expect for quick blanket changes.

Keeping them tidy also makes it less likely spiders and and such will crawl into them from the ground.

The Region 9 USDF Championships was a success for all! Congrats to my client, Amanda Bruce and her Carre Magique for their 7th placing in the AA Training Level Championship! Along with all their other placings. This was Amanda’s first Championship, and she made me proud. “Monti” has been there done that over the years, and had a lot of fans at this show!
For me, this was a wonderful chance to catch up with a lot of my colleagues and friends, as it’s been some time since I was able to go due to caring for my late husband. Being able to coach, be a part of our barn team and volunteer made this a great weekend.
Special thanks to Karli Sublett for holding down the fort and Mark Escobedo for finding us extra workers to help. It takes a village!

We are so thrilled with how our Martin Collins USA Clopf fiber incorporated so easily into our sand mix and held up to a recognized show. Huge thank you to Glynnie for making sure we had the footing on time!

Well, here it is from the experts. We went with a different fiber company, Martin Collins USA, as their product was better suited to the variability of our environment in Texas. Our arena features a base, sub base, and footing that we maintain not just through watering and dragging, but also through annual leveling and maintenance.

As trainers, Ashley and I love the peace of mind riding on a quality surface gives us. It also has increased the longevity and soundness of many of our senior horses, and minimized maintenance required for those in a training program. It’s also enabled us to really hone in on where our horse’s issues are as it allows them to move optimally, streamlining and pinpointing issues acutely and allowing us to spend less time debating what steps to take and more time training.
