Our sweet standard poodle 🐩 momma Bailey had her spay surgery yesterday (yep she’s retiring way early) which marks the end of our “Doodle Baby Makin Days”!

It’s been so much fun, and so much work but we have enjoyed meeting and making friends with so many new families over the years. Keep sharing those sweet doodle photos and keep in touch as always.

I regret to share the news 📰 that we won’t have a summer breeding this season. Due to the large numbers of dogs in shelters, I’ve decided the responsible thing to do is not breed a litter at this time. We LOVE seeing all the posts from our current puppy 🐶 families and look forward to continued friendships with you all! Peace ✌️ and love ❤️ from our family to yours!

Go home day for this sweet boy….headed to live his best life in East Texas! His family is the sweetest and I know he will be sooo very loved. We can’t wait to see him all grown up! Safe travels new doodle family!

Vet day was a success! Everyone checked out with a healthy bill of health!
The heavyweight award goes to Blu….weighing in at 11.6 lbs followed by
Red “Teddy” 10.5 lbs
Black “Rip” 10.4
And the lightweight award goes to light blue “Ozzy” at 10.2

Good morning! Pup pick up day is soon ❤️❤️❤️ Goody bags bring out together today! They see the vet on Tuesday for their full health check ups and first set of shots! 🐶 I’ll have your contracts ready for you on pick up day as well!

A few things to note 📝
- order your puppy food NOW if you haven’t already. I highly recommend the LAMB and rice formula NOT the chicken! The LAMB is very hard to find in the stores. It sells out so order from chewy. Doodles can have allergies so sticking with lamb for their skin and allergy health is best! Link here

- your new baby WILL sleep 💤 ALOT! They are still like newborns and require lots of rest and sleep so be
sure to provide that safe and quiet space for them.

-potty training- they are very used to using the puppy training pads HOWEVER I do NOT recommend those being placed in kennel crates as you will want them to know never to potty in a crate! Also, if using them- do this for a very short time and place them by the door you will be taking them outside near. This is to encourage them to get used to going “to the door”! Watch for them to circle ⭕️ around before going potty and try to catch them and get them outside quickly. They have never been outside due to not having their shots so it’s important that they learn right away that outside is the place to potty NOT inside! They are a very smart bunch or boys and will learn quick with consistency and close eyes on them when they are awake.

-NEVER allow them to nibble or bite in your hands! This will encourage them to continue the behavior! They are very mouthy for several more months and this is a tough stage for many families if you do not nip it in the bud quickly. Simply replace your hand they are tryin to nibble on, with another chew toy! Always have chewy toys handy! EVEN if it “doesn’t hurt” the men or older children- this biting pattern will turn into an issue later if it’s allowed now.

-There will be goldendoodle training books also sent home with each family this round!

This is something everyone should see.

When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

RESERVED- Introducing red collar Jimmy…known on the Yellowstone series for always having troubles but popular with the ladies! This stunning fellow also has the white blaze on forehead, some white in his 🐾 paws and tummy. I just had to name him Jimmy because this little dood is always the last to find his way 😂he even got his collar stuck and was hung up on mommas collar which has since been removed ( oh that’s a whole story ) anyway he’s one special dood and has become our family’s most talked about baby of the crew. Meet light teal collar…The Chief! He’s one tough boy for sure! He’s never late to the milk supply and always finds his way! This super curly dood has a white blaze on his forehead and down in between his eyes, white tip tail and paws 🐾 He seems to be one of the two leaders of this crew and he’s just stunning!
