Thanks to everyone for following Gypsy Soul Farm, I’m thankful for each and everyone of you. I’ve decided to stop teaching, it was a difficult decision to make. I’ve been through so many back surgeries and last year’s triple cervical fusion really took a toll on me. I’m still available to work with horses with behavioral issues and I’m really focusing on Natural Horsemanship ground work. Hopefully by April I’ll have a YouTube channel up and running and I’ll be doing videos on the proper way to lunge your horses to get the results you are wanting. There’s much more to lunging than just letting your horses run in circles. Also videos on NH groundwork and more. I’ll post on here once the YouTube channel is up and running. I will continue doing “ The Horse Experience “ for local AIRBNB’s, everything ranging from grooming to private lessons and everything in between. I’ll see y’all on my YouTube channel and I’m always here for advice. Happy Riding!

Introducing flying lead changes to Midas. I cut the corner too close but he did get the other lead! Now slowly taking trot strides away so he can accomplish a flying lead change fr the other canter lead, no trotting in between.

Cash and I after a nice little trail ride! He’s my newest horse, Registered AQHA/Appendix Ranch horse and trained barrel horse! He’s awesome and makes a great addition to my lesson program and my own personal horse, along w the others of course! Just love him!

Hi everyone! Well my summer in Black Mountain NC is now over and I will b back home tomorrow! It was so nice to b out of the Texas heat but it was way too long to b away fr my horses! I’ll b spending most of September working on getting the horses ready for lessons, they got a summer break too! So, I’ll b teaching again starting October 1 and I can’t wait to see all of my students and possibly take on a few more! I hope u all had a great summer and now it’s time to ride!!❤️🐴

Hi everyone! Well I had an unfortunate accident, not horse related, when I was at my vacation home in N Carolina and got a terrible concussion. So I’ve been down for a few weeks now, slowly getting better. I leave after the 4th of July w Midas and Cash for 2 months up there to escape the Tx heat. The barn is being built as I write this and when I return in September it will be finished, the entire property will b fenced so the horses can actually get a little grass and have more room to roam! I look forward to seeing all of u when I get back and continue moving forward with all of your riding! Have a great summer😁🐴❤️

This is the “ old style “ wooden barn that will be the new barn here at Gypsy Soul Farm. They should be breaking ground next week and it will take about 30-45 days to build. So please a note to new students, Please Forgive The Mess, when it’s all completely done, stain, lighting, a lighted separate path to the barn without the horses on top of you. Yes, too friendly but they all love people and are extremely curious about everything❤️🐴 awh the horse life!

This is Cash, he’s an 8 yr old registered Quarter Horse he’s sound, gentle, safe and is a trained barrel horse! I do teach barrel racing so anyone wanting to learn, this will be the horse you will learn on and you will absolutely love riding Cash! He will be a great addition to Gypsy Soul Farm!

The pictures of the Half Fresian/Saddlebred are of my wonderful Dolce! I broke a trained him and he was quite the character. Also it’s Dolce doing his famous bow! The last pic is our beautiful Midas! He lived his 1st 5 years in the Netherlands so he LOVED this weather. He was beautiful running thru the pasture with the snow as a backdrop !

We are going into the most severe winter storm that’s been on record for more than 50 years! We’ve already had MANY tree branches collapse from the weight of the ice thru out our horse area and on the entire property. I don’t stall my horses unless it’s for a medical reason, God intended them to roam about, not live in a box. I try to keep everything for them as natural as possible. One misnomer that I hear a lot is they should be put up in inclement weather. I ask horse owners to please listen....if I know the weather will be severe the last place I want my herd is locked up in a building unable to flee should a large tree fall, a freak spin off tornado whip thru, lightning hitting the barn, etc...Horses still have their “ innate sense “ of danger so i.e., they hear a branch suddenly snap, they r already moving away before that branch hits the ground. I know many of us have our own strong horse opinions but we are never too seasoned to hear others out. We just might learn something new...and that includes me
