“This is Birdie, we found her wondering in the road in our neighborhood with no identification and no microchip. She became best friends with our other dog so we decided to adopt her. Unfortunately after taking her to the vet we found out that she was positive for heartworm. We felt fortunate that we found her and figured out so early that she had heartworm so we could get her help. We followed the vet's protocol and limited her activity until she was better. She's now a happy, healthy, and active puppy.” This is the story of Birdie Ketring told through the eyes of her owner Marie Ketring.
