Nate's Pet Sitting

Nate's Pet Sitting I am a local, graduate student at Emory looking to help and get to know my new community by offering a variety of pet care options for your furry family!

I grew up south of Atlanta in a small town before moving out to Athens for my undergraduate degree at UGA in 2020. After graduating in 2024, I moved to the Virginia Highlands area where I currently pursue my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University. Most of my days are filled with studying, but during my free time, I love to play sports, which include anything from basketball to spikeba

ll to ultimate frisbee to soccer. I also love to run, watch movies, and cook, which I have picked up recently and range across a number of cultures from around the world. I currently do not have any pets with me in my studio, but I do claim the two cats seen in my cover photo as my two "kiddos": Milo and Winston.

Procedure for Bookings

1. Reaching Out - Please reach out to me via text, phone call, or direct messenger with what type of pet care you need and when you need it with dates and times. My phone number is listed on my page under "About".

2. Prices and Availability - Based on what level of pet care you need, I will give you a break down of the price (as I understand the pricing post I made can be a lot).

3. Meet and Greet - As we move forward, we will find a time and place to meet (it can be in your home) so that we can meet each other and your pets can meet me as well. We can go over procedures, expectations, and any special routines. I would love to also have these written down if possible.

4. Get started! Enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your furry family is being loved on, cared for, and watched after in the safety of the home they love!

Please let me know if there are any questions or gaps in my introduction, and I hope I can meet you and your pets very soon!

Services and Prices
*To note, House Sitting comes with dog walks if needed and that does not cost extra! Dog Walks/Week is a separate service for those who only need their dogs walked*

House Sitting
Dogs - $35/night (1 dog) | Additional dogs - $25/night per extra dog
Cats - $25/night (1 cat) | Additional cats - $15/night per extra cat
When you go out of town, I am more than happy to take care of the pets left behind rather than boarding them somewhere outside your home! This includes feeding them, ensuring fresh water, walks, playtime, medications: whatever they need from me!

Example: 2 dogs and 2 cats to be watched for 1 night --> 35+25+25+15 = $100

Drop-in visits
Dogs - $25/visit (1 dog) | Additional dogs - $15/visit per extra dog
Cats- $20/visit (1 dog) | Additional cats - $10/visit per extra cat
When you need someone to stop by your pets while you're at work or out on a day trip, I will swing by your house to check on them, feed them, take them outside, and whatever else you may need for around 30-45 minutes! My best times for drop-ins are at noon and after 5pm, but I can be more available depending on course scheduling that week!

Example: 2 dogs and 2 cats for 1 visit --> 25+15+20+10 = $70

Dog walks per Week
$20/walk (1 dog - up to 30 minutes) | Additional dogs - $10/walk per dog | Long walk (>30 minutes) - additional $10/dog

Example: Long walks for 2 dogs 1 time week--> 20+10+10+10 = $50

Hi ATL! My name is Nate Troemel, and I am a local Emory University graduate student who has recently picked up pet sitting in the Emory area! If you are going on vacation, need someone to drop in during lunch, or just need someone to play with your furry fam: I’m your guy!

I recently moved into the Atlanta area this June, but I have been pet sitting for a while now. During high school, I would pet sit for many of my friends pets when they went out of town, and I’ve taken care of animals from dogs to cats to birds to lizards! Because of the pets I took care of, I also have extensive experience in caring for older or elderly animals who require special routines, oral medications, and increased attention.

A little bit about me is that I am an ex-cross country and soccer athlete from high school with a degree in Exercise Science from UGA. Therefore, I understand the importance of helping animals meet their required exercise and playtime needs. Nowadays, I love to run, walk, casually play a variety of sports, cook, watch movies, and learn about this amazing new city I have now made my home! At Emory, I am a full-time Doctorate of Physical Therapy student looking to graduate in May 2027. Since coming to grad school, I have realized that I deeply miss caring for animals as in undergrad I had a sweet, charismatic cat that we call Milo (he’s the brown one below that you see often). The other animals in the pictures are from my family’s home, including Serenity (black lab), Ruby (tan pup), Po (white with black spots), Oreo (black with white spots), and my childhood pup Truman (golden/chow mix with the blanket).

I hope that I can help take care of your furball fam, however large and small, whenever you need! I love all animals, have no allergies, and am looking for some cuddly company while I study!

Thank you for your time, and I hope to meet you soon!
