PSA:
We can’t stress enough the following 👇🏼
1. When you get an animal you want to mount please take care of the hide until it get to us and get to us as soon as you can
-Dragging deer excessively will cause burns to hair that we can’t fix
-hanging for days by legs will allow all the blood to flow into and swell the head (cause slippage and possibly a unmountable cape)
-soaking a hide with water is the worst thing for a cape you want to mount. Keep hides cold and dry until you can get them to us. Caped in a freezer is the best but a dry cooler is okay for a day or two (not two weeks)

2. Caping your own deer isn’t hard but you can cut them up bad enough making it hard to pick certain forms or hard for us to even mount due to all the damage.

Use the Photo reference below as a guide when caping your deer for a mount! Also there are so many great YouTube videos that can help.

We are officially done mounting all 2023 season deer! Some being finished up this week and a couple late late ones will be finished next week.
Lots of beautiful mounts and happy clients going out of the shop.
We will be transitioning to gun season soon with longer hours and lots of visiting friends in the shop! See you all soon!

Good luck to all our friends venturing out this weekend for KY opening of archery season!
While the season may have fallen different that normal, we are always here ready to preserve your trophy!
Tips for early season:
1. If in velvet handle rack with extreme care and get to us asap!
2. Once you locate your harvest… tag, photos and get to us asap!
3. Please call to let us know one is on the ground and you are coming our way.
The weather looks amazing and we are so excited for a 2024 deer season!
