Yesterday was National Dress Your Pet Up Day, and today is National Hat Day!

What better way to celebrate than by sharing pictures of Muffin Man rocking his ranch dressing costume and looking sharp in a hat?

Muffin Man recently starred in my ELA class’s reader’s theatre, "The Great Cafeteria Caper," where he played the mischievous culprit, "Ranchy" the Ranch Dressing, opposite Sally the Salad. My students brought the story to life with their performances, and Muffin Man stole the show—he even returned to the "fridge" (his cage) on cue!

This project was more than just fun; it motivated reluctant readers to dive into their roles, practice fluency, and use vocabulary they wouldn’t normally try. I’m so grateful for Muffin Man’s help in delivering a memorable performance and for bringing a little extra magic to our classroom!

Different classes in my middle school decorated parts of the building for the holidays. I have no idea which class did this, but I couldn't help notice Muffin Man, the classroom bunny, being represented in this particular holiday showcase. Muffin Man certainly has a fanclub!

We are in search of rabbit books! Between my rabbit-loving classroom, our 4-H club, and hoping to start a read with a rabbit program this summer, we would greatly appreciate donations of books featuring rabbits. For anyone who has an indoor rabbit, we HIGHLY recommend this cage for a number of reasons. We don't use the plastic inside extras, but the rest of the cage features are excellent for a rabbit that hops in and out and rules your room.

When we re-home a rabbit, we appreciate keeping in touch. Even better is when we get word our rabbits rock the judge's table! Since rabbit acronyms are worse than in the field of special ed, let me just give the gist: Vienna was one of our rabbits, and she made beautiful babies that did well at the National Convention (the ultimate competition) and at a recent show in Maryland.

A few weeks ago, Team Sherman brought our mini zoo to our church fall festival. It was fun watching the public enjoying our pets. We're grateful to have such special animals.

To us, it just makes perfect sense to do Saturday soccer with a bunny!!
I often hear rabbit owners say their rabbit gets nervous, runs off and or just hides. Not ours. "Graham" Cracker enjoyed his trip to the soccer fields and all the attention. He's a show quality rabbit and has a great personality. A total package!! It's hard to believe he hasn't landed a forever family yet.
