This handsome boy is available to a performance/companion home. Status is 9 months old and full of potential. Status has taken agility classes, started in service dog work, and would make a phenomenal therapy dog. Very affectionate and sweet, he loves everyone and everything. Has been exposed to horses and other farm animals. Minimal prey drive. Crate and leashed trained. Travels very well. Happy go lucky and silly. I absolutely adore this boy and if I had the time to meet his potential he would be staying. Status will be sold on a neuter contract.

Due to continued issues with last minute cancellations and no call no shows, we will be instituting fees associated with each issue. It has been attempted in the past to do so, but we now will be making this firm. Emergency situations will be taken into consideration; i.e. severe sickness, going to the hospital for yourself or a loved one, or your pet needs immediate vet attention. Otherwise, this stands firm. This will be the case as well for multiple pets, not just one, it is for the ENTIRE missed appointment.

* Cancelations less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a 50% fee of the grooming ADDED to your next appointment.

* NO CALL NO SHOWS will be the full cost of the missed appointment ADDED to your next appointment. (Essentially double the price at the next booked appointment).

If we are given atleast 24 hours in advance, it gives us the ability to try and find a replacement for your appointment so as not to loose income for the day. However, when a no show happens, we are unable to find a replacement quickly enough that would not throw off our other appointment times the rest of the day. When self-employed, one only makes an income when people come to their appointments, there is no continual stream of income, we do not get sick time or PTO. We do not work, we do not get paid. It is as simple as that. This is our profession that pays to keep this business running and also keeps a roof over our heads, food on our tables and the lights and heat on at home, it is NOT just a hobby.

Please know, we do not like having to do this, but we also cannot continue to have these issues arising as it is severely hurting our bottom line.

Whats on my mind FB?

I am so happy to say that some of the area shops have been working together to support one another in our grooming profession.
Most of us chose grooming because of our love for dogs, but it isn't for the faint of heart.
Contrary to popular belief, we don't "play with dogs all day" .
This is our job.
It is our career choice.
It pays our bills.
We all try very hard to enjoy our job; but, we deal with many personalities and behaviors (dogs and humans) throughout the day. No two days are the same.
When you work with animals, you never know what will happen on any given day. We all have stories.
The area shops (at this time) are The Dog House, Chez Paw Spa, The Kind Groomer, Dog Gone Dirty and Puppy Luv Pet Parlor. Combined, we have over 90 years of grooming experience.
Any and all other shops in the area are welcome . We all have something to bring to the table, and it's always important to learn something new every day.
Support is also important; and working together, we can do more.

We are working to offer informative articles; and occassionaly, educational seminars to the public.
