Perry County Humane Society of IL No KILL Animal Shelter Perry County Humane Society in Du Quoin, Illinois is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill animal rescue.

The Perry County Humane Society's purpose is to promote and provide the humane care and treatment of domestic animals in Perry County, Illinois. We won't have open hours today, while we work on training new volunteers.

Thank you all for your patience the last couple of months while we transition through the recent staffing changes we've experienced. After today we should be staffed well enough to no longer need to cut back on open hours ❤️❤️❤️

There is always plenty of room for more volunteers, the need is greatest on Saturday afternoons.

We are also in need of volunteers to help us manage our social media presence and volunteers with experience with fundraising activities.

Scooby is back home where he belongs ❤️❤️❤️. His dad and I want to thank everyone involved in his safe return. The shares on FB and the outreach from people willing to help us get him from his rescuer back to us and his dad have made this a story with happiest of endings. And the biggest of thank yous and blessings to Denice Hottes Bailey and Becky Hottes who found him and warmed him up and kept him safe until Dad could get back to him. God bless you all ❤️❤️

Little man needs a few days of rest and cuddles and he'll be right as rain again ❤️❤️❤️
