2022 Morning of Kindness
Jacks raised $755 this year through his homemade cookies and Dog Butt hook sales.
He visited the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, in Gloversville, this morning to donate $325 as well as some dog food, cat food, garbage bags and fleece blankets that he purchased off their wish list ($130) He also brought them several bags of his homemade dog cookies.
Once home, Jacks sent the Weimaraner Rescue of the North/NYS a $300 donation via PayPal.
Both of these rescue organizations are near and dear to our hearts. The Weimaraner Rescue of the North/NYS is who we rescued both our Gunther & Blue from. James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society is where Jacks rescued Marlee from in June of 2019. You can see from one of the pictures below that JABMHS needs help this year more than ever- they had a tree fall on their office on 12/23.
At the beginning of November, Jacks set his fundraising goal to beat what he raised last year. He accomplish his goal by raising $43 more this year than last. Jacks did this while also processing and experiencing the unexpected loss of Marlee in early December. Marlee is the reason behind For The Love of Marlee and was Jacks’ girl.
There was about a week where Jacks swore off anything dog related and didn’t want to continue baking his homemade dog treats. After some time away and processing, Jacks came to realize that he wanted to continue his baking and raising funds to donate so that more animals have the opportunity to be rescued by families and kids like him.
To say we are proud of him and his huge heart would be an understatement!
Thank you to everyone who supported Jacks in his sales.
