A Tail of Two Doggos: we wanted to celebrate a happy ending that the clinic experienced recently.

That little pup that Dr. Nightingale is holding is only alive today thanks to the generous donation made by that big, handsome fellow in the bandana.

Tater Tot has a condition that causes his body to attack his red blood cells. He came to the clinic severely anemic - his only chance was for him to receive a blood transfusion to buy time for medications to be started that would stop his body from destroying his red blood cells.

Ray was in clinic for a routine procedure and his people were kind enough to allow us to take a little bit of his blood to give to Tater to buy him that time.

Halfway through the transfusion, Tater was already feeling a little bit better. When he went home after, he had the energy to wiggle a little bit when his mama picked him up. At his first recheck a week later (when this photo was taken), he was a bouncy, happy, excited, and ACTIVE puppy.

There’s no doubt that Ray saved his life. And that’s really, really cool!
