Our Pack wishes you a Merry Christmas & Happy Holiday Season! It's been an exciting year of growth and we are grateful for so much, including all of our customers (and all of their adorable pets) from every market, event, and delivery stop.

The Pet Wants Pup Up Shoppe will be busy this weekend! Come see us this evening at Westerville Fourth Friday from 6-9, then Saturday we'll be at The Dublin Market at Bridge Park (only 2 weeks left!) and , then we'll also be spending the day sipping some cold brews at the annual Columbus Coffee Festival from 9-6 (advance purchase required as many sessions are sold out!). Sunday we'll be back at the Coffee Festival again all day long! p.s. Dogs aren't allowed at the Coffee Festival unfortunately, but that doesn't mean you can't take them home some goodies!

We kick our weekend event schedule off this week in Delaware for First Friday! This a huge evening event with 100+ vendors, food trucks, and more - And most importantly - pup friendly, so bring them along and stop by!

We will be at our Saturday morning markets if you miss us Friday too!

As a reminder, if you'd like to pick up a bag of food or large quantity of anything at either Saturday market, we really appreciate advance orders to ensure we have supply at the event! (just needs to be placed by 10am Friday). This can be done on our website (link in bio) and choose pick up when you check out.

It'll be hot, so if you bring the pup, bring water for them and use some Pet Wants Paw Wax to keep their paws safe on the pavement (but avoid long unshaded exposure on hot pavement and keep them off blacktop!)

We are all enjoying the spring weather, but so are the ticks and mosquitoes! Lyme disease (transmitted by ticks) is becoming more prevalent in Ohio, and heartworm parasites are also a common danger (transmitted by mosquitoes), so make sure your pups are protected all year long.

Our Mosquito, Flea & Tick repellent (part of our small-batch, handmade Spaw product line) is an all natural spray treatment for your pup to ensure they're protected head to tail (and don't forget to spray their legs and bellies!) Our repellent uses all natural human-grade therapeutic oil deterrents, such as cedar wood, lavender, lemongrass and others. Just apply a few times a week (and after a bath or a swim).

We love all natural solutions, though we also recommend consulting your vet for safe, medicated treatments for heartworm and fleas/ticks, as these pests can cause serious health issues. (Though these medicines are typically only effective after the bugs land on or bite your pup, so a repellent still complements these treatments for another layer of protection).

While we might think it's too early to worry about them, they actually start to emerge when the temperatures are over 40 degrees, so start using it today!
