Dovetail Kennels of Texas We are a family run professional dog breeder who built our kennel on the ranch with the following criteria:
1. Our operation is not a part time hobby.

Breeding dogs should only be done by people who truly love dogs. We have 5 pet dogs of our own (the bed gets crowded). Some of our friends think we are obsessed with dogs.
2. The dogs we breed must receive our full time attention and care. On any worthwhile ranch, the animals you raise and breed are your first and most important focus. It is not a hobby to be done if you have nothing else to do.


3. Our dogs have large, quality, climatized living and birthing facilities with outdoor runs 80 to 90 feet long with lots of large shade trees. The runs are accessed thru dog doors in each dog's indoor living space giving it free access to the run any time it wants. This gives the dogs good exercise which together with quality food helps keep our dogs healthy and happy.
4. We provide four of most popular breeds; labs, corgis, boxers and mini aussies, so we can satisfy most peoples pet needs with loved, happy, and healthy puppies at affordable prices.
5. Our dogs and their well being are our focus. We are very proud of our facility. It is the kind of place where we would want to find a loving puppy.
6. We want our customers to see the facilities where our dogs live, are cared for and are very deeply loved. We think any place you go, to select a puppy, you should insist on seeing the complete environment.

Dakota is a beautiful chocolate female labrador retriever that just turned 10 weeks old! She is out of our English chocolate female, Georgia, and our blocky chocolate male, Dallas. We have been working on many important basic socialization skills, she using the dog door, loves to go for rides and is doing very well on her crate training.
