Kiki is a huge fan of this snow day activity!
Bring some clean, fresh snow inside in a bucket for your cats to investigate and play in βοΈ
Just make sure to put some towels down as it might get messy! π
Zoomies on full-throttle! π
Ruggles, the world is your playground πΎ
This girl just loves to run and have fun! Because she's such a good girl and her skills on point, Ruggles gets to experience a little freedom on our jaunts (with the reassurance of a long line, just in case). She's especially rewarded when she checks in without prompt and comes running back full speed when called. She's a perfect example of a happy, well-trained dog getting to enjoy life to the fullest! πΎ
Fidget and Rue love their after-dinner play time with puzzles and treat-dispensing toys. On nice nights like this one, we go out in the yard so they have more room to solve their toys. This kind of play helps calm and mentally-satisfy them for a little while. Highly recommend adding toys that make your dog use their brain in different ways into your routine. All dogs of all types, sizes, and ages benefit. And it certainly doesn't need to be an every day thing; my own dogs are plenty happy to do these once or twice a week, maybe a little more often in the winter months.
I like to rotate their toys to keep them guessing. My favorite spots to find good quality and interesting ones are our local TJ Maxx and Sierra Trading Post. Both stores just happen to be dog-friendly as well π
If you and your dog happen to have a favorite interactive toy, feel free to share below. I'm always keeping an eye out for new ones to add to our box!
