Groomingdales will be closed from June 13th thru June 23rd! I am looking forward to a much needed Soul Injection with My Sisters!!

Saying Good Bye to 2024

It's never easy saying Good Bye! Especially when you're saying it to a family member or a friend or both! We have All had to let go whether we were ready or not! Several of Groomingdales Families have lost their beloved fur babies this year and with that loss comes Heartbreak! Our Paw Pals are never here on earth nearly long enough but your memories of them hold the words to their book that needs not be published for your heart already knows it Word for Word!

It's that time of year Again where Cold Noses Warm Hearts!!
For the Halkowaski family a new addition has found her way into their home and hearts! Introducing this fun loving Malshi baby named Jordi! She was born August 20th, 2024. Jordi had her 1st Spa Day of many to come accompanied by her older sister Sami. She too is a Malshi baby born July 6th of 2022. Sami has been family at Groomingdales since she was Jordi's age. I would like to take a second to Thank Darin and Jessica Halkowaski for sharing their precious fur babies with me at Groomingdales for many years!

Counting Blessings!!

As we enjoy all of the festivities during Thanksgiving Time, let's not forget to be thankful for All of our Blessings Big and Small!
Groomingdales had recently added a new Family and their New Little Blessing! This is Ollie before and after his 1st Spa Day! He is a Maltipoo, born July 9th, 2024. Lisa Schroeder is Ollie's proud Mom! I know for sure Ollie will definitely make the list of Blessings in the Schroeder household and as a New Family Member to Groomingdales as well!!

Celebrating LandLord Day!
Yes it really is a real day but before I pay tribute to Dr. Kim Bergfeld, I need to share some exciting news of an upcoming transition between Key West Animal Clinic and Pet Med Animal Health Center! On Nov 23rd the two businesses are joining forces to become a Veterinarian Powerhouse in Key West, Ia. What a Thanksgiving blessing for them all!!
How does this affect Groomingdales you ask? The only change for me will be a shorter lease with a new LandLady! So Groomingdales Families rest assured beautifying the puppy population will continue as scheduled, at the same location! Woo-hoo!
So that's the last part of Nov now to back up to the 1st day of November! It was certainly bittersweet handing over my Very Last rent check to Dr Kim! Who would have thought it would be such a sentimental moment! But it was for both of us and it's not like either one of us are leaving! Work neighbors we will remain! I have been nothing but fortunate to have had h Dr. Kim Bergfeld for my LandLady for the past 21 1/2 years! In 2003 we knew very little about each other, now fast forward to 2024 and we now know a little something something about each other! Kim wears many titles and these are just a few that I admire and respect her for!
Ready Kim!!! Here goes my most personal thoughts....
You are Truly an Amazing Veterinarian!
You are an Amazing Daughter, Sister, Wife and Mom (Of Course!!!)!
You have been an Amazing Boss with You Team at K.W.A.C!
And Now You have earned the title of being an Amazing LandLady! You're the Best!!😘 Thank You!
We have been thru countless Great times, shared plenty of sad times and have overcome many obstacles that came our way! They say It takes a Long Time to Grow an Old Friend!! Well Ole Friend we had 2 decades of growing but somehow never got any Taller!😆
While change is how the world moves on the future sure looks bright! This is where I get to introduce my future LandLady, Dr MacKenzie Hellert!! I am looking so forward to having the opportunity to get to know you and your team! We are already off to a great start! MacKenzie and I have both agreed signing a lease agreement for another 21 years may not be in the best interest for Any of Groomingdales Fur Babies!! I'm thinking I will probably hand over my shears way before I'm 84!!🤔
