LAST WEEK - Twin Ports Pet Sitters had two dog clients charged by deer. One injured (Note Photos of Swelling on Dog). and one knocked down by charging deer. The first was in a fence yard in the Woodland Neighborhood when owner let out pup, and the second while we were walking on the trail going to Lake Superior on 42 Ave E. This is the time of year to be aware of these mamas protecting their babies. TPPS is vigilant to keep a wide berth from the babies, but sometimes it happens upon us unexpectedly. “Pet owners may be surprised to learn that deer attacks on dogs do occur, they feel that the dog poses a threat to babies (fawns)- born in the heart of the spring season.” Please keep your distance and respect space.

PET SITTER HIGHLIGHT!
Ryann - Pets have always been a part of Ryann's daily life. Growing up in Duluth as an only child, she thought all families should have more dogs, cats, and fish than children. Her love of family pets, science and animal behavior led her to the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. After 16 years as a DVM she retired from the field. Ryann is now happy to use her years of animal behavior knowledge while seeing animals in the comfort of their own home. Ryann most enjoys getting to know each animal's true personality so she can help give pets what they need when their owners can't be with them. After work, you will find Ryann on the Lakewalk with her own dogs: "Guido" a Shiba Inu, and "Bruno" a perfectly mixed dog.

Leaving your fur babies in someone else's hands can be scary, but you'll have no worries at all if you call Twin Ports pet sitters! I am so incredibly impressed this company! We received pictures of our pets each day, and arrived home to a summary of when the pet sitters arrived each day and how the pets were doing (I wasn't home, but I know my dog pooped at 2:05pm today, these reports are thorough!) I cannot put into words how amazing it is to know someone will care for my pets as much as I do. This company is top notch, I'm so thankful we found them!
